Zack Snyder will be in charge of Twilight of the Gods, the new animated Netflix production. The filmmaker who led the start of the DCEU with the Man of Steel movie is developing both the plot and designing the animations with his touch. This series has a mythological touch joining others within this platform, such as The Blood of Zeus.

The studio in charge of developing the animations will be Xilam Animation. This one highlighted that it will combine its characteristic quality with the touch the filmmaker usually uses in his productions. Another quality that stands out in the images is that they will be in 2D.

The founder of Xilam Animation, Marc du Pontavice, commented that they are happy for the opportunity given by the production team and are honored to work with Snyder. He also said they would use state-of-the-art technology to create the 2D animations to create spectacular battles with special effects in the filmmaker’s style and develop a high-quality adult saga. On this, Pontavice commented:

“We’re so proud to be working with the team at Stone Quarry, including iconic creator and director Zack Snyder, And we’re also deeply grateful to Netflix for trusting us to bring his spectacular vision to life. We’ll be utilizing state of the art 2D animation across the series, which will include spectacular battles and special effects in the distinctive style that has characterized Zack’s work throughout his illustrious career. Twilight Of The Gods' Reveals Cast For Zack Snyder's Norse Mythology Anime Series For Netflix Image: Netflix

Twilight of the Gods is a series based on Norse mythology with characters like Odin and his mischievous son Loki. The plot is unclear if it will be a showdown between the abovementioned gods. Another option is the confrontation against the ice giants, as we saw in Netflix’s Ragnarok saga.

The series currently has no premiere date on the streaming platform. However, several signs could indicate that it would be anime-style or like Netflix’s Blood of Zeus production. However, we do not rule out a surprise by Snyder and Xilam Animation studio that could give it a different touch.

As for the production team, we have that it is led by Snyder, who serves as producer and director in at least 2 chapters. It has a top cast integrated by Paterson Joseph as Loki, John Noble playing Odin and Kristopher Hivju, the Game of Thrones actor portraying Andvari.

Snyder has several projects at Netflix, which makes sense given his departure from the DC comic book world. These include Rebel Moon, which will have its own video game version.
