It has been more than a year since Jeremy Renner’s accident. The actor suffered a very unpleasant event last January 2023. Renner was clearing snow from his neighbors when, due to a miscalculation, he ended up being thrown by the machine. It should be noted that his recovery is a thousandth of a millimeter. In addition, it should be remembered that these machines weigh tons, and literally ran over him.

The Avengers actor shared a recent Instagram video on April 26, seemingly completing an outdoor run. In his post, he conveyed a positive message to his followers as they approached the weekend.

“Wishing you a Happy Friday … nothing but smiles today,” Renner wrote in the caption to his post. “Feeling full of gratitude and inflammation 😂. Be better get Stronger everyday #recoveryroad.”

NFL tight end George Kittle, who plays for Renner’s favorite team, the San Francisco 49ers, showed his appreciation with a “hang loose” emoji (🤙🏻) in response to Renner’s video. Renner, more than a year after his near-fatal snowplow accident on Jan. 1, 2023, frequently shares exercise videos to keep his followers updated on his ongoing recovery. In March, he posted a video of himself training with heavy dumbbells in a basement gym.

Renner sustained over 30 fractures and underwent numerous surgeries following his snowplow accident in 2023.

Renner made his return to acting in early 2024 when he resumed filming for the third season of his Paramount+ series Mayor of Kingstown. The show’s new season is set to premiere on June 2, as recently announced. Renner spoke to PEOPLE in January about the apprehension he felt returning to work on the series.

“I don’t know if I’m looking forward to it. Again, I try to just do everything kind of step by step here. That’s one foot in front of the other one,” Renner stated back then. “Then you’re walking, I think I’m excited when I’m there and I get in a rhythm there. I’m excited about the character and, of course, all the people involved and all that in the storyline, but for me, I’m just tentative of confidence in work.”

Out of Movie Theaters Since 2019

Jeremy Renner, who made a surprise appearance after the accident at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards in February, hasn’t been seen in a live-action film since 2019’s Avengers: Endgame. However, he did reprise his role as Hawkeye in the 2021 Disney+ miniseries of the same name.
