Shared on X, the ad provides a glimpse of Danny Ramirez’s Joaquin Torres donning his Falcon suit in Captain America: Brave New World, highlighting the distinctions from Anthony Mackie’s previous iteration. In line with the comics, Joaquin’s Falcon suit features a prominent green color scheme with brown and silver accents. Ramirez disclosed in an earlier interview that adapting to his Falcon suit took some time, noting Mackie’s assistance during filming. “I learned to follow his lead on his suit prep,” Ramirez recounted. “So, maybe not double-sleeve everything. Do the cut-off.”

Julius Onah, Malcolm Spellman and Dala Musson are at the helm of the project. In addition, Captain America: Brave New World features Mackie in the lead role as Sam Wilson/Captain America. This is his first solo superhero adventure. It comes a decade after his MCU debut with Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Returning alongside Mackie are Marvel veterans Tim Blake Nelson and Liv Tyler, who reprise their roles of Dr. Samuel Sterns/The Leader and Betty Ross from 2008’s The Incredible Hulk. Additionally, alongside Ramirez, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’s Carl Lumbly will grace the screen as super soldier Isaiah Bradley.

Joining the ensemble cast are franchise newcomers Harrison Ford, Shira Haas, Xosha Roquemore, Seth Rollins, and Rosa Salazar. Ford, known for his roles in Star Wars and Indiana Jones, steps into the MCU as the newest Thaddeus Ross, previously portrayed by the late William Hurt. While an official synopsis is pending, a recent CinemaCon sneak peek description hints at Ford’s Ross assuming the role of the new president of the United States. His character is anticipated to task Mackie’s Captain America with reassembling the Avengers.

No Second Season for “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”

Mackie expressed his disappointment at The Falcon and the Winter Soldier not receiving a Season 2 renewal, lamenting the missed opportunity to continue working alongside co-stars Sebastian Stan and Daniel Brühl. He expressed his enthusiasm for a potential second season, highlighting the joy of spending time with his fellow actors. Mackie described their dynamic as “the perfect storm of happiness,” particularly relishing the prospect of hanging out with Brühl. While acknowledging the transition back to film, Mackie admitted that not having his friends around dampened his spirits. He also emphasized his desire to spend more time with Brühl, especially enjoying the idea of a dancing Daniel Brühl.
