Today fans are enjoying Obi-Wan Kenobi‘s premiere and the recent Disney revelation of the Mandalorian season 3 trailer. The good news in the Star Wars universe does not stop as we celebrate this franchise’s 45th anniversary.

The Mandalorian had been delayed several times due to production problems. Disney announced the third season for 2022; however, they later clarified that it would be postponed.

The delay is not unreasonable considering all the productions that Disney is developing in the Star Wars universe. Not only The Mandalorian but also Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka, and Andor. Disney already released the trailer for Andor, and Obi-Wan Kenobi premiered today with two episodes.

Mandalorian Season 3 Release Date

Disney announced the new release date for The Mandalorian on the Star Wars and The Mandalorian’s official Twitter accounts. According to the tweet, the third season of this Disney and Lucasfilm production will premiere in February 2023. The announcement came at the celebration of this saga’s 45 years.

In the event, they made several comments about the plot. First, Disney confirmed that Katee Sackhoff would again play Bo-Katan. Bo-Katan was a character from Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and she was already in Mandalorian’s season two. This time, she will play the villain as she tries to get the dark saber in Din Djarin’s possession.

Mando will not be able to avoid this confrontation since one can only claim the saber if you defeat its wielder in combat. He will also travel back to Mandalore, where he will meet and possibly face Bo-Katan.

The Star Wars 45th anniversary event was inspiring for fans of this saga. They had the Mandalorian season 3 trailer, which is not yet available to the public, and the premiere date revealed. The new trailer for this third season is not available to the public. However, it was shown to the Star Wars 45th anniversary celebration attendees, and someone recorded it and leaked it online

The New Trailer Leaks Online

This trailer went viral on social media, as several attendees recorded it and posted it on their networks. Although it did not look with good resolution and was somewhat out of focus, it gave us clues about what will be seen in this new season.

The trailer begins with Mando and Grogu facing The Armorer, who is disappointed at our protagonist for taking off his helmet. Next, we see Bo-Katan sitting on a throne inside a palace, most likely in Mandalore. The trailer then shows Din saying he is going to Mandalore to seek forgiveness for his past transgressions. Bo-Katan looks different, and she seems to be returning as an antagonist due to last season’s ending.

Din Djarin will have to drink from the living waters beneath the Mandalorian mines to gain a pardon from the Death Watch. We also see fights on planets and in space. Greef Karga returns, as well as new characters. The preview ends with a face-to-face between Bo-Katan and Grogu, where she tells him, “Did you think your father was the only Mandalorian?”.

Disney will likely publish it shortly to confirm the start of the new season to broadcast on its Disney+ streaming channel. According to Twitter, some posts with the leaked trailer have been removed “in response to a report from the copyright holder.”

We will have to wait for Disney to publish the trailer on their social media and the exact release date for the new season.
