God of War 5 Ragnarok seems to have won the general public’s hearts, and that’s how Kratos himself sees it. At least, that’s the perception behind the image of the ancient Spartan soldier showing off a heart in a Twitter post. This is after the game’s developer reported that the game had sold more than 11 million copies.

Though globally, it’s not a record, considering God of War was the most sold game with 23 million copies. The new production broke the milestone by reaching a sales amount of 5.1 million in one week. Considering that this latest title has yet to be released in other versions, those numbers may continue to rise.

God of War Ragnarok Breaks Playstation Records

On its Twitter account, Developer Santa Monica Studio announced that God of War Ragnarok had sold more than 11 million units so far. To celebrate, it gave away an image of Kratos, making a heart shape with his hands. The company commented in the post, “We’re incredibly humbled that #GodofWarRagnarok has officially sold through 11 million copies!”. It later said, “None of this would be possible without the support of our fans, so thank you for coming on this journey with us!”

The record would not be based on the amount sold overall, considering God of War sold over 23 million units. However, it could be seen as still a long way off, as the new title was only released on PS4 and PS5, while the rest were on various devices, including PCs.
Therefore, it is thought that this new game still has a long way to go. The boost it can give on PC could mean a new record, which most gamers are sure to enjoy.

A Game to Knock you Down

God of War 5: Ragnarok is a pretty engaging game that’s sure to make you fall backward from excitement. This one has got the scores from gaming critics; on IGN, it has a 10/10 record. It looks like the new Nordic touch they added to it sure did the trick.

As for IGN’s comments on the game, we have “it’s a beautiful lesson in how a sequel should be made and sets the standard for what all sequels should aspire to be and of course, it’s a must-have title for every PlayStation 4 or 5 owner”.

This denotes several interesting facts, such as Kratos having a son. He tells him his story as they travel around the world. The Nordic touch also offers freshness to the atmosphere and the game’s plot. Also, he tells him about the heroes of Greece and all the openings they went through.
