The Boys Season 4 Filming Begins

To the delight of fans, The Boys season 4 filming begins. The writer himself confirmed this through his official Twitter account. The Amazon Prime series just finished its third season, which was a great success. Shortly after the third season premiered, it was confirmed that there would be a fourth. We know that filming has begun, so the series is expected to be released in 2023.

We have just finished the third season of The Boys, which arrived on Amazon’s streaming platform in March. What was promised was fulfilled. The showrunners truly achieved an adaptation of the comics by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson.

With all the details that suffered this third season. Where fans of the TV show waited two years between the second and third season because of COVID, but this time The Boys season 4 filming begins, and the wait will be different.

Everything is in process with The Boys season 4. Its production is confirmed, which aims to surpass what we saw in the previous season. Eric Kripke confirms it through his official Twitter account.

Executive Producer Kripke says, “Speaking on behalf of the cast and crew, we are very grateful to Sony, Amazon and, most of all, the fans for embracing the show and allowing us to do more.” He added, “We’re thrilled to continue Butcher and the boys’ fight against Homelander and the Seven, as well as comment on the crazy world we live in.”

He also tells us that “the highly successful TV series is already filming the first episode of the fourth season under the title Department of Dirty Tricks.” This name may be associated with one of the teams of heroes and villains that make life in Prime Video. 

Recall that The Boys borrows the names of the story arcs for the titles of its episodes. The first episode will be directed by Phil Sqriccia, with screenwriter David Reed.

The actors and actresses are excited to be back. Who gives life to Homelander, Antony Starr posted a photo on Twitter that reminds us of the first season of the series before becoming a phenomenon.

The actor comments in his tweet, “First season. So long ago. Now we start with season four ;)”. The characters Black Noir, Homelander, Queen Maeve, A – Train, Starlight, The Deep and Translucent can be seen in the photo publication.

Something that draws the attention of the fans of this famous series is the bloody chapters that marked season 3. In addition, sex scenes left more than one captivated. So this fourth season will start at full speed.

The Boys has undoubtedly been one of the best series on Amazon Prime Video. The adopted genre of superhero parody currently dominates the movie market.

If you think it’s going to stop there, you’re wrong. Amazon Studios has already announced that it is preparing a spin-off called Gen V, which will debut before the return of the main series.

Kripke confirmed that there would be a symbiotic relationship between the two shows, the spin-off Gen V and The Boys. The latter expands the plot during the fourth season, encouraging fans to follow both titles.

Another envisioned spin-off would be centred on a group of young college students with superpowers, which will give them something to talk about on the campus of Vought University.

So far, we know that the cast will consist of Chance Perdomo, Lizzie Broadway, Jaz Sinclair, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Shelley Conn, London Thor, Maddie Phillips, Derek Luh, Sean Patrick Thomas, Asa Germann and Marco Pigossi.

We still don’t know what direction The Boys season 4 will take. But if there is one thing we are sure of, a more prominent role is expected for Ryan Butcher, who plays Cameron Crovetti. He plays the son of Homelander’s superpowered Ryan. Also expected to debut are supers Firecracker with Valorie Curry and Sister Sage with Susan Heyward.

So it is expected that the show The Boys will come much bolder with its spin-off. Fans are sure to be impressed with different feats. So, they will continue to surpass the storytelling of comic book superhero stories.
