The rising star Austin Butler is going all out in his upcoming portrayal of Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen in the popular dystopian movie Dune 2. With the latest images out, we saw his shaved head and a savage look! So, that brings up the question. Who is Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen? What is his role in the upcoming sequel? 

Well, Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen is the last Baron of House Harkonnen. After the death of his uncle Baron Vladimir, Feyd-Rautha abandons his title as Baron of Harkonnen. Moreover, just like Paul Atreides, he is the unfortunate product of Gesserit’s breeding program. Why does this matter? 

Well, in order to succeed in continuing his breeding program, Bene Gesserit secretly sent a mystery woman to seduce him and conceive a child with him. Whether or not this scene will appear in the upcoming Dune movie, we still don’t know! 

However, this is very important for the arc of Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen. Therefore, it’s probably happening! Moreover, Feyd will play an important role in the movie as he works alongside Thufir Hawat. Well, “works alongside” is the wrong phrase. Hawat will heavily manipulate him into doing his dirty work!

Austin Butler is Hollywood’s Rising Star: Elvis, Dune, and Other Projects

Many are just now realizing how talented Austin Butler is. He set the bar high with his portrayal of Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen in the upcoming Dune sequel. However, not many people followed his entire career.

For example, did you know that his first TV appearance in 2007 included portraying a boy who transformed into a dog? Yes, you read that right. Well, he went through a lot in the 19 years he has been acting. 

Moreover, many people recognized his talent when they watched his latest project titled Elvis. Austin Butler, now 31 years old, portrayed the music legend Elvis Presley in the 2023 biopic. As a result of an epic portrayal, Butler won just under 20 awards for the aforementioned role.
