Confirmed! Jennifer Garner’s Elektra Will Return For Deadpool 3

The latest rumors indicate that we will have several Fox characters in Ryan Reynold’s expected movie. The major produced several Marvel character movies, such as the X-Men franchise. When Disney bought Fox, the film rights to the Mutants and Fantastic Four came to Marvel Studios. So now, they can use those characters whenever they want. One of the Fox characters returning to Marvel thanks to Deadpool 3 is Elektra, played by Jennifer Garner.

The last time we saw Garner with her Elektra character was almost 20 years ago with her solo movie. That one didn’t have the desired outcome. The character made her first appearance in Fox’s Daredevil, in which we saw her demise at the hands of the Buckeyes. Now she will return in this production. However, we do not know if she will be a villain as in the premiere of this character or a heroine as in the last one.

Jennifer Garner’s Elektra will be in Deadpool 3

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Jennifer Garner’s character Elektra will be in Deadpool 3. Although Marvel did not comment on the matter, several sources suggest that it is due to her friendly relationship with Ryan Reynolds, the main protagonist of this production.

It should be noted that Reynolds and Garner were in some projects together, such as The Adam Project. This one was even directed by the filmmaker in charge of Deadpool 3, Shaw Levy, so their inclusion is not at all far-fetched. Everithing points to the fact that Deadpool 3 will revive Fox characters. Since Disney acquired the studio, Marvel Studios owns the rights to these characters, and they will take advantage of that.

They may want to create a sort of alternate universe with all these characters, using the multiverse concept. This is feasible, considering that Hugh Jackman requested that his character’s ending be left intact. It is, therefore, presumable that in Deadpool 3, alternate versions of Wolverine and Elektra, especially since the latter died in Daredevil.   

The doubts about the incorporation of Garner into the cast as Elektra is the type of participation that this character will have. Considering that she is not very popular in the mutant sphere, it would be strange for her to appear just like that. However, there may be another theory: she is part of the villain team and is one of the main warriors of the main antagonist. This would retain the main anti-hero characteristics that characterize her.

The film is currently in development in the UK and was the only production whose release date update was positive. So it will have an early release. The production stars Ryan Reynolds and co-stars Hugh Jackman returning as Wolverine.

The production team includes Shawn Levy, Marvel president Kevin Feige and Reynolds himself. It will be directed by Levy, who was also part of the writing team with Reynolds, Paul Wernick, Rhett Reese and Zeb Wells.

The cast of this production is raising the fans’ enthusiasm. The addition of Jennifer Garner’s Elektra is the latest addition. There is also Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Morena Baccarin with her character of Vanessa, the protagonist’s girlfriend who will return from the dead. We will also have Emma Corrin, who will play the villain as Acteur.

For the most nostalgic fans, we are very excited to see Jennifer Garner’s Elektra again in Deadpool 3. However, rumors about the Fox characters that may appear keep growing. We must be cautious and not fall into the hype exacerbated as we had with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which then disappointed us. The film is set for release on May 3, 2024, and we should be excited not for the cameos but to see Deadpool’s character on the big screen again.
