Are you already missing some of your favorite Avengers from the Marvel Cinematic Universe? If you want to see them reunite while out of costume, Apple TV+ has the perfect upcoming option for you. Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson are set to star in Ghosted, a romantic adventure movie that will reunite the beloved duo.

Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans Will Reunite On Screen For Ghosted Movie

Johansson and Evans will be starring in the film for Apple Studios. Dexter Fletcher (Rocketman) will be behind them in the director’s chair, with Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese (Deadpool, Zombieland) writing the script. Though a romantic film sounds like it could easily fall into one of the millions of overdone tropes, the creative team behind the film makes it seem like something special.

While details about the plot remain under wraps, the word is that it is a “high-concept romantic action adventure” and will use films like Romancing the Stone from 1984 as inspiration.

The project will reunite Evans with Apple TV+. He recently starred in Defending Jacob, one of our favorite mystery series in ages. Johansson is also no stranger to streaming, with Black Widow and Marriage Story making their debut on Disney+ and Netflix, respectively.

Is this the type of thing that could bring a little life back to Apple’s streaming service? While the platform has had its fair share of great projects, including the recent success of Ted Lasso, it remains on the outskirts of the big battles going on during the streaming wars. They’ve proven that big budgets aren’t something to be afraid of, but they still need star power if they’re going to pull in new viewers. A movie with Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans could be the thing to do it!

Readers, let us know if Ghosted, the upcoming movie with Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson, sounds like something you’ll be watching. And if you need a little bit more information to decide, keep an eye out for updates here at Comic Years!
