Chainsaw Man Movie: Cast and Plot Revealed
The Chainsaw Man anime made a huge impact last year. Now, almost two years after the initial success of the anime, MAPPA is officially working on the Chainsaw Man movie. Here’s everything we know about it so far.
What is the Reze Arc About?
During the Jump Festa 2024, MAPPA dedicated a segment to their new anime series, Chainsaw Man. Moreover, the studio revealed the first teaser trailer of the upcoming Chainsaw Man movie. The trailer for Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc revealed the outline of the plot, as well as the potential cast.
As the title suggests, the movie will cover the Reze arc from the manga. The Reze arc comes right after the Katana Man arc. More precisely, this means that the movie will follow the events of season 1. It will reflect on Denji’s relationship with Reze. Reze is a dark, mysterious girl, and a potential love interest for Denji.
Denji’s infatuation with Makima drives many of his actions throughout Chainsaw Man. It is fitting that the Reze Arc will finally introduce Denji to a romantic partner and delve into this seemingly less important aspect of his life.

Chainsaw Man Movie: Cast & Release Date
Apart from Denji and Reze, some of the characters to appear include Aki, Beam, Makima, Power, and Typhoon Devil. Moreover, this means that Kikunosuke Toya, Tomori Kusunoki, Fairouz Ai, and Shougo Sakata are some of the main voice actors to appear in the upcoming MAPPA movie. Additionally, Reina Ueda will appear as Reze.
While we don’t have the official release date yet, we can make a free guess. Based on previous MAPPA works, the studio usually needs a year between the seasons. What this means is that the Chainsaw Man movie could potentially premiere sometime in 2024! Stay tuned for more information. In the meantime, check out the official trailer.
