Best Comedy
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Dead to Me
The Good Place
Insecure
The Kominsky Method
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
Schitt’s Creek
What We Do In The Shadows
Each comedy on this list is so different than the next that it’s impossible to guess who will take home the trophy. Schitt’s Creek was phenomenal, and their latest and final season was a success. But is that enough to beat the last season of The Good Place?
Best Drama
Better Call Saul
The Crown
The Handmaid’s Tale
Killing Eve
The Mandalorian
Ozark
Stranger Things
Succession
There are certainly a handful of incredible shows on this list. Though, many of them have just released what could arguably be considered the worst (I’ll let you guess which ones we’re talking about.) The Mandalorian is an interesting choice, but Better Call Saul might be worthy, too.
Best Limited Series
Little Fires Everywhere
Mrs. America
Unbelievable
Unorthodox
Watchmen
I don’t even want to spend a second trying to guess where this category could go. Little Fires Everywhere was an unexpectedly beautiful and chaotic story, but Watchmen was a real standout.
Best Actress, Comedy
Christina Applegate, Dead to Me
Rachel Brosnahan, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
Linda Cardellini, Dead to Me
Tracee Ellis Ross, black-ish
Catherine O’Hara, Schitt’s Creek
Issa Rae, Insecure
Brosnahan has won her fair share of awards with The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. While it’s anyone’s game, a win for O’Hara might be a delight. Though, Issa Rae is a worthy opponent.
Best Actor, Comedy
Anthony Anderson, black-ish
Don Cheadle, Black Monday
Ted Danson, The Good Place
Michael Douglas, The Kominsky Method
Eugene Levy, Schitt’s Creek
Ramy Youssef, Ramy
The world might currently feel like The Bad Place, but Ted Danson’s performance could trick us into thinking otherwise.
Best Actress, Drama
Jennifer Aniston, The Morning Show
Olivia Colman, The Crown
Jodie Comer, Killing Eve
Laura Linney, Ozark
Sandra Oh, Killing Eve
Zendaya, Euphoria
Zendaya. Need I say more?
Best Actor, Drama
Jason Bateman, Ozark
Sterling K. Brown, This Is Us
Steve Carell, The Morning Show
Brian Cox, Succession
Billy Porter, Pose
Jeremy Strong, Succession
The winner for this category is often a complete surprise. Could we see a Billy Porter win again?
Best Actress, Limited Series or TV Movie
Cate Blanchett, Mrs. America
Shira Haas, Unorthodox
Regina King, Watchmen
Octavia Spencer, Self Made
Kerry Washington, Little Fires Everywhere
Kerry Washington would have my vote, but I don’t think that the series stands the best chances. A Regina King win would be more than well deserved, too.
Best Actor, Limited Series or TV Movie
Jeremy Irons, Watchmen
Hugh Jackman, Bad Education
Paul Mescal, Normal People
Jeremy Pope, Hollywood
Mark Ruffalo, I Know This Much Is True
Another male list with no clear winner. Though, a Pope or Irons win seems the most likely.
Supporting Actress, Comedy
Alex Borstein, The Marvelous Mrs. Maissel
Betty Gilpin, GLOW
D’Arcy Carden, The Good Place
Marin Hinkle, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
Kate McKinnon, Saturday Night Live
Annie Murphy, Schitt’s Creek
Yvonne Orji, Insecure
Cecily Strong, Saturday Night Live
D’Arcy Carden has been snubbed in far too many awards shows. Her role as Janet deserves better.
Supporting Actor, Comedy
Mahershala Ali, Ramy
Alan Arkin, The Kominsky Method
Andre Braugher, Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Sterling K. Brown, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
William Jackson Harper, The Good Place
Dan Levy, Schitt’s Creek
Tony Shalhoub, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
Kenan Thompson, Saturday Night Live
Madeline Wuntch is turning in her grave because Captain Holt could be a clear front runner.
Supporting Actress, Drama
Helena Bonham Carter, The Crown
Laura Dern, Big Little Lies
Julia Garner, Ozark
Thandie Newton, Westworld
Sarah Snook, Succession
Fiona Shaw, Killing Eve
Meryl Streep, Big Little Lies
Samira Wiley, The Handmaid’s Tale
The second season of Big Little Lies may not have lived up to the success of the first season, but Meryl Streep’s performance deserves praise.
Supporting Actor, Drama
Nicholas Braun, Succession
Kieran Culkin, Succession
Billy Crudup, The Morning Show
Mark Duplass, The Morning Show
Giancarlo Esposito, Better Call Saul
Matthew Macfadyen, Succession
Bradley Whitford, The Handmaid’s Tale
Jeffrey Wright, Westworld
We’re certain that the casting team at Succession is celebrating right about now. This category is filled with series that have multiple nominees, which may make it harder for a clear voting choice. So, the award may go to a well-deserved Esposito.
Supporting Actress, Limited Series or Movie
Uzo Aduba, Mrs. America
Toni Collette, Unbelievable
Margo Martindale, Mrs. America
Jean Smart, Watchmen
Holland Taylor, Hollywood
Tracey Ullman, Mrs. America
Mrs. America must be joining Succession at the party! Another tough race, though Toni Collette’s performance in Unbelievable was a series standout.
Supporting Actor, Limited Series or Movie
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Watchmen
Jovan Adepo, Watchmen
Tituss Burgess, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. The Reverend
Louis Gossett Jr., Watchmen
Dylan McDermott, Hollywood
Jim Parsons, Hollywood
A Watchmen winner may just take this one, but our winner pick is still up for debate.
Television Movie
American Son
Bad Education
Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings
El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. The Reverend
Could Breaking Bad win one last Emmy?
