The 2020 Emmy Nominations Are Here! Find Out The Snubs, Surprises, And Deserving Nominees

Ah, awards shows. The yearly events that celebrate some of the latest and greatest in television. While plenty of ceremonies are being canceled and postponed, the Emmy awards are still able to push ahead. The official 2020 Emmy nominations are out. Some of our favorites made the list, while a few others didn’t quite make the cut. Find out if yours did, too! Here’s the official list of nominations for the top categories at the Emmy Awards.

Each comedy on this list is so different than the next that it’s impossible to guess who will take home the trophy. Schitt’s Creek was phenomenal, and their latest and final season was a success. But is that enough to beat the last season of The Good Place?

There are certainly a handful of incredible shows on this list. Though, many of them have just released what could arguably be considered the worst (I’ll let you guess which ones we’re talking about.) The Mandalorian is an interesting choice, but Better Call Saul might be worthy, too.

I don’t even want to spend a second trying to guess where this category could go. Little Fires Everywhere was an unexpectedly beautiful and chaotic story, but Watchmen was a real standout.

Linda Cardellini, Dead to Me

Tracee Ellis Ross, black-ish

Catherine O’Hara, Schitt’s Creek

Issa Rae, Insecure

Brosnahan has won her fair share of awards with The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. While it’s anyone’s game, a win for O’Hara might be a delight. Though, Issa Rae is a worthy opponent.

Kerry Washington would have my vote, but I don’t think that the series stands the best chances. A Regina King win would be more than well deserved, too.

Mark Ruffalo, I Know This Much Is True

Another male list with no clear winner. Though, a Pope or Irons win seems the most likely.

Netflix has taken the win yet again, breaking HBO’s record for the network with the most nominations. Shows like Hollywood, Mrs. America, and Watchmen have all managed to exceed expectations for shows, while others like Euphoria have been snubbed.
