The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is just a few days away from release. However, critics have already seen the trailer and part of this production, and all the reviews seem to point in one direction. For many, this movie is a hit everyone will enjoy because of its different and fun subject matter.

Although this group made us laugh and entertained us with their adventures in space with their touches of madness. This time, they will not go to protect the galaxy but to give us smiles. In the trailers recently released, we saw Mantis and Drax looking to lift the spirits of Quill, who suffers from the disappearance of the Gamora of the past.

Reviews say it’s a different and entertaining production. Considering the specials Marvel developed, it may be their goal. To place programs that can offer other emotions and entertainment to their general audience. James Gunn also commented on the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. He pointed out that it will be a good way to kick off the holiday season.

The first Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special reviews arrived today. Several videos have been posted on social media showing short clips about the movie’s plot. This one seems to please the public, who gave good reviews about this filming.

The previews showed scenes of Mantis and Drax in the movie arriving on Earth. They are looking for the perfect gift for Quill. From these two, we learn that the team leader is upset and depressed about not being able to find Gamora. The two characters are looking for a way to lift their spirits, though they will likely get into a lot of trouble first.

For example, this pair was seen sneaking into Kevin Bacon’s house. They want him to go with them to cheer up their friend. However, the actor is just as depressed as Quill and ignores them. Based on these previews, we already have several comments from different sources.

First, we can quote IGN, who commented via Twitter, “The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special gives a welcome spotlight to Pom Klementieff’s Mantis, combined with some unabashed Christmas cheer, hilarity, and heart.”.

We also have Variety’s comments revealing, “James Gunn’s “Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special” is stuffed with funny, feel-good Christmas joy, and it’s one of the best pieces of content Marvel Studios has released in years. Read @jordanmoreau_’s review here:”.

These comments are added to the fact of the score it has on the Rotten Tomatoes platform. So far, it has accumulated an 85% approval rating from critics.

The End of the Saga Led by Star-Lord is Approaching

As the premiere of this Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special and the release of the third part approaches, fans are wondering, is it the end? Especially considering that its director James Gunn was hired by Warner as the head of DC Studios and will be working with them exclusively. This implies that after the last movie, he will say goodbye to the MCU.

James Gunn had an interview about this situation and answered that after Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special and Vol.3, he will end all the characters’ stories. Among these, he highlighted Rocket. The director explained that he has a lot of plot left to tell and that he is the director’s favorite element. If this comes true, it will imply that there would no longer be room for another production.

Gunn stated that everything was uncertain and that a fourth part could be the case. However, he commented that it is more likely to be with other characters and that the plot he initiated will end in the second sequel.

A fourth installment seems unlikely, considering the current focus of Marvel Studios. They are developing new characters and bringing out old ones at the current stage. As with Iron Man, Hawkeye, and Captain America. For their part, we have new versions, and the vast majority are female, furthering the inclusion movement.

Added to all this is the new villain that the MCU is introducing in the form of Kang the Conqueror. This character was already formally introduced in the Loki series, and he will debut on the big screen in the Ant-Man 3 movie. The detail would be how to connect this character with Quill if he is not even on Earth.
