Marvel president Kevin Feige has already confirmed with his statements that the production of Spider-Man 4 with Tom Holland will have a new installment. This would have also commented in February 2023 that the story that would tell this production would already be established; it only remained to pass it to the script of this next franchise instalment.

Although everything related to the story of Spider-Man 4 is a state secret for Marvel, Feige said the plot we will see this time will be well “grounded”. He also said that the arachnid would change the place of action to the city street, from this stage 5 of the MCU and in the remaining ones, it will have a similar environment.

Feige wasn’t the only one to talk about the production of Spider-Man 4 with Tom Holland. Amy Pascal, the producer of Miles Morales’ Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse movie, also shared information. She said that this filming starring Holland has not yet finished the script development of its plot.

The producer also emphasized that its production is currently halted. This delay was due to the strike of writers demanding wage and contractual improvements. She also commented that she supports the actions of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) ‘s actions. For this reason, they will wait for their actions to end. On this, Pascal commented:

“Are we going to make another movie? Of course, we are. We’re in the process, but the writers strike, nobody is working during the strike. We’re all being supporters and whenever they get themselves together, we’ll get started”.

Another Sony’s Arachnid staff member to comment was Tom Rothman, Sony’s director. He was asked about the development of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4, and replied, “If I told you, I’d have to kill you.

One question that comes up with detecting the showrunner’s activities is when Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4 will be released. Many comments indicate that the film would not be in 2024, despite the fact that it would be planned for July 12, 2024.

The reason is that the strike by the writers and showrunners has no completion date. So that resuming the production process would not be so fast. They would still have to finish the script to start the cast selection process and other processes before shooting. We would unlikely see Holland’s arachnid on the big screen by next year.

Tom Rothma commented in an interview that it would be unlikely to have a release date by the planned date. He commented that it would probably be for the last quarter of 2025 if the strike is lifted these days.

Marvel is a faithful defender of workers’ rights and always supports these processes, as some of its executives stated. These also commented that they have caused the suspension of the development of several of their productions, as is the case of Blade and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4.

We know that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4 was developing before the incident with the writers. However, everything was stopped, and the showrunners still protested higher payments. For now, they have not received any answers about their demands, leading to doubts about the character.

If the development process continues as it is going, it could compete with the Sony production Kraven The Hunter.
