Lords Of The Fallen Remake Footage Is Breathtaking

Thanks to the latest Unreal Engine 5, we’ve seen the upcoming Lords of the Fallen remake. And what a game it is; Unreal Engine 5’s latest showcase is stunning! The game’s developers have outdone themselves with this impressive game.

During GDC 2023, the developers, Hexworks, revealed that Lords of the Fallen has “incredible levels of micro detail.” They also spoke about the game’s lifelike lighting through global illumination and emissive shapes. Additionally, the Chaos physics engine also boasts advanced simulations of movement. The latest footage is nothing short of impressive on a technical level.

If the final game delivers on the promises made in this tech demo, the Lords of the Fallen remake could easily become one of the best-looking Soulslikes. In fact, it might even rival PS5 exclusive Demon’s Souls remake, Horizon Forbidden West, and Returnal in showcasing new-gen hardware.

Previously, Hexworks has impressed us with its visuals, and the remake is no exception. Last month, they revealed some gorgeous environments that include a level reminiscent of Elden Ring’s Caelid. They also showed off gloriously horrific monsters that are almost too detailed to look at. They’re pretty scary!

Back in 2014, Hexworks released the original Lords of the Fallen game. Many people loved it for its fast-paced combat, challenging difficulty, and impressive visuals. Although it had some flaws, the action RPG was a hit with players. The game follows Harkyn, a convicted criminal who is given a chance to redeem himself. How does he do this? Well, by stopping a fallen god and his army of demons from taking over the world, of course!

Naturally, the Lords of the Fallen remake promises to be even better than its predecessor. Plus, with Unreal Engine 5, Hexworks can take the game to new heights. If the developers deliver on their promises, the remake could become a contender for the best game of 2023.

Despite the impressive footage, we still don’t have a concrete release date for the Lords of the Fallen remake. Currently, we only know that it’s coming sometime in 2023. Nevertheless, we’re excited to see more of the game and can’t wait to get our hands on it.

Often, people compare it to the Dark Souls series. This is due to its challenging difficulty, punishing combat, and the weighty feel of the protagonist’s movements. However, the game has unique features that make it stand out.

One of the game’s most notable features is the class system, which allows players to choose between three different classes. These are Warrior, Rogue, and Cleric. Naturally, each class has unique abilities and playstyle, allowing players to experiment with different strategies to defeat their enemies. So, we’ll see these in the Lords of the Fallen remake. 

Additionally, another standout feature is the game’s use of checkpoints. Unlike many games that provide a continuous save system, Lords of the Fallen uses checkpoints. To activate them, players must defeat bosses or reach specific areas. This feature adds tension to the game as players must navigate challenging areas. At the same time, they need to manage their resources, knowing that a mistake could send them back to the last checkpoint. As such, we’ll likely see these gameplay elements return for the Lords of the Fallen remake.

However, this isn’t the only Unreal Engine 5 game. The software has been making waves in the gaming industry since its announcement in 2020. Many developers have been taking advantage of the engine’s advanced capabilities. As a result, we’ve gotten some of the most visually impressive games of recent years. Hopefully, the Lords of the Fallen remake will be part of this.

One such game is The Matrix demo game. The game’s Unreal Engine 5 allows for incredibly detailed environments, natural lighting, and impressive particle effects. Together, these features create an unmatched sense of immersion in many other games.
