Y: The Last Man Premiere On FX On Hulu Set For September

We’re entering that unusual season of television that comes with warmer weather. Of course, streaming changed the traditional approach to summer programming. That said, network channels still use this time to air re-runs and lower budget shows. Streaming platforms, on the other hand, take their lead from cable channels. FX is one of many TV programming entities that refuse to take the summer off. The run of shows coming to the now-Disney-owned channel between July and the Fall is substantial. Among the many FX shows on the way in the coming months is the long-awaited arrival of a comic book adaptation. This September, Y: The Last Man will finally premiere on FX on Hulu after a long wait. When Does Y: The Last Man Premiere on FX on Hulu?

From 2002 through 2008, Y: The Last Man was one of the most inventive series in comics. Over sixty issues, the series earned three Eisner awards for its gruesome and exciting tale of partial human extinction. An unexplained plague wipes out all living mammals with a Y chromosome. That is, everyone except Yorick Brown, played by Ben Schnetzer in the upcoming FX series adaptation. Schnetzer will star in the show alongside big names including Diane Lane, Ashley Romans, Olivia Thirlby, and Amber Tamblyn.

The Hollywood Reporter revealed the premiere date of Y: The Last Man on FX on Hulu alongside other programs. Some will go to the streaming service and others will go to FX’s cable channel. A few new American Horror Story anthologies will come this summer as well as other new originals and returning series like What We Do in the Shadows. Y: The Last Man will premiere on FX on Hulu towards the end of the summer on September 13. Y: The Last Man And Helstrom both shifted to the Hulu branch of FX although the latter’s release date is still unknown.

The show didn’t have its shortage of crises during production. Original plans for the adaptation released in 2015. Since then, the showrunner position has changed and so did the actor portraying the titular last man. Originally ordered as a series in 2019, the show is now only months away from hitting the streaming service. That’s a long wait!
