“The way men feel entitled to speak about women, their bodies, and their sex lives needs to be seriously evaluated,” the West Side Story star wrote.

Rachel Zegler knows all too well the fury of Internet backlash. Despite that, she defends Taylor Swift from her latest round of criticism.

The West Side Story star spoke out on behalf of the “Anti-Hero” singer, who has received a frenzy of media attention after appearing at two Kansas City Chiefs games in support of rumored new boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

Rachel Zegler’s Comments

“It’s not news that the media is particularly (and unwarrantedly) cruel to taylor swift but the way men feel entitled to speak about women, their bodies, and their sex lives needs to be seriously evaluated.” Snow White actress Rachel Zegler wrote on social media.

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of the Songbirds and the Snakes responded to a crude video in which Barstool Sports’ Dan Katz said, “If Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift release a sex tape, I will consummate this relationship and say, ‘Fine. You can have sex, you can be boyfriend and girlfriend.’ I don’t buy it … until that happens, I think it’s fake, I think it’s for clicks. And I think Taylor Swift is using the NFL to try to make her star bigger.”

Rachel Zegler pointed to a specific comment from Barstool Sports’ Dan Katz. He insinuated that he would only believe Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship if they released a sex tape. The actress denounced the misogyny evident in these statements. She also highlighted the difference in how society judges the relationships and attitudes of men and women. She stressed that these attitudes do not only come from men, as women can also be critical in this regard.

Rachel Zegler, who previously faced harsh criticism about her role in the upcoming Snow White movie, in which she plays the Disney princess, has long been an ardent fan of Swift’s work. On her social media, she has shared her appreciation for Swift’s music. She uses her lyrics as captions on her Instagram photos, expressing her deep connection to her music and even performing covers of her songs.
