Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Release Date & Plot Revealed

Get ready to dive back into the world of Final Fantasy VII with the highly anticipated sequel, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth! Square Enix has just revealed the release date, and it’s coming sooner than anticipated.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Release Date Revealed

Following on from the events of its prequel, Remake, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will see Cloud, Tifa, Barret, Aerith, and Red XIII continue their journey to Kalm. And if the new three-minute trailer is anything to go by, we’re in for a treat. The game will officially arrive on February 29th, 2024. 

The announcement trailer showcases the game’s fighting mechanics, new features like the ability to ride on and race with Chocobos, and the appearance of beloved characters like Yuffie, Sephiroth, Vincent Valentine, Cait Sith, and more.

But that’s not all. According to Square Enix, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will take around 100 hours to complete, making it a truly epic adventure. Creative director Tetsuya Nomura has also revealed that this is the second title of a trilogy, covering the events between the start of the journey outside Midgar and the midpoint of the original Final Fantasy VII. 

Nomura said, “If Final Fantasy VII Remake was an introduction to the world and a preparation for this journey, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth serves as an illustration of the incidents that started the journey, an exploration of the people tied to it, and the journey itself, heading toward its climax.”

Get ready for an epic adventure like no other! Final Fantasy 7 Remake has taken the classic turn-based combat system and transformed it into a real-time action RPG. And now, with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on the horizon, we can expect more of the same thrilling gameplay. But hold on to your Materia, because Part 2 is set to be a game-changer!

Once Avalanche leaves the bustling metropolis of Midgar behind, the game opens up into a vast open-world adventure. You’ll be able to explore new locations and travel freely across the map. And that’s not all – fan-favorite mechanics like rideable Chocobos and the Tiny Bronco are set to make a comeback. This will ultimately make it easier than ever to navigate this exciting new world.

One thing’s for sure, the four playable members of Avalanche – Cloud, Barret, Tifa, and Aerith – will be back in action. Each will have their own unique abilities and maybe even some new tricks up their sleeves.

In addition, we can expect to see some new faces join Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, like Red XIII. He’s sure to bring his own set of skills to the table. And let’s not forget about Cait Sith, Vincent Valentine, Cid Highwind, and Yuffie Kisaragi.
