Fallen Order 2 Linked to Kenobi Show?

It’s been a pretty crazy Star Wars Day for the fans, and especially for those waiting for Jedi: Fallen Order 2! Unfortunately, neither Lucasfilm nor EA have revealed a ton of information about the sequel video game. But, we did get a few hints about the game, thanks to the release of the Kenobi TV series trailer.

What We Know about Jedi: Fallen Order 2

We don’t know much about what’s going to happen in Jedi: Fallen Order 2, the characters, or even a release date. However, development for the game has been ongoing for a while, even during the pandemic. EA’s license for the Star Wars games expires in 2023. So, it goes without saying that Jedi: Fallen Order 2 will probably release at some time in the next year.

Additionally, it is very likely that we’ll find out more information for Star Wars Celebration in late May since we know that there will be a gaming panel at the event. It’s unlikely that we’ll get a concrete release date, but we might find out some more information about some of the returning characters. Maybe we will even learn about the deeper connections between Kenobi and the video game. Whatever news we find out, the next game is sure to be just as amazing as the original.

The Sisters in Jedi: Fallen Order 2

Back in the first game, which EA released in 2019, fans had to battle against some of the different Inquisitors. Each of these Inquisitors played an important role in helping Darth Vader. From the Second Sister to the Ninth Sister, each of them was more difficult than the last.

However, it seems that we haven’t seen the last of them. Lucasfilm released the full-length trailer for the Kenobi TV series as part of their Star Wars Day celebrations. As you can see in the picture above, the woman on the left is the Fourth Sister. She is part of Darth Vader’s Inquisitors, and Rya Kihlstedt plays this role.

Additionally, the Fourth Sister is not someone that the writers mentioned in Jedi: Fallen Order. We can guess that Cal will return in Jedi: Fallen Order 2. So, it makes sense to assume that some of the other Sisters are going to make an appearance, too.

Furthermore, the setting of Jedi: Fallen Order was between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. The Kenobi TV series takes place at the same time. This makes it likely that the Sisters will return in some form. Perhaps we will see Trilla on-screen, or maybe find out more of her backstory, too.

Purge Troopers Redesigned

If that wasn’t enough, the Purge Troopers from the original game are going to reappear in the sequel. However, in Jedi: Fallen Order 2, there’s speculation that these mighty enemies are going to be redesigned. Our first glimpse of the new design for the Purge Troopers will be in the Kenobi TV series.

Apparently, the new version of the Purge Troopers will have helmets that are similar to the Shore Troopers. We previously saw the Shore Troopers in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. However, the new design for the Purge Troopers is still going to be different from anything that we have seen before.

It’s not too clear how big of a role that the Purge Troopers will play in Kenobi. The Purge Troopers were quite a significant part of Jedi: Fallen Order, so whatever we see of them in the TV show is sure to be exciting. From the trailer, what we do know is that the Purge Troopers are looking for Obi-Wan Kenobi as part of a raid on Jabiim.

Given the similarities in the timeframe, it’s possible that we’ll see some of the Sisters on the hunt for Kenobi in Jedi: Fallen Order 2. Perhaps Obi-Wan himself will make a cameo in the sequel game, and Cal will work alongside him to try and restore what is left of the Jedi Order. However, this is slightly unlikely since it appears the majority of Kenobi will take place in the desert world of Tatooine.
