Euphoria Star Hunter Schafer Reacts to The Legend of Zelda Fan Cast
Last month, Euphoria star Hunter Schafer wore a Rick Owens fishtail dress to the 2022 Vanity Fair Oscars party. The dress was a huge hit with fashion lovers but also loved by fans of Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda franchise. Euphoria Star Hunter Schafer’s look led to many fans comparing it to Princess Zelda’s. Entertainment Tonight asked Schafer whether she’d seen the comparisons. She seemed surprised but open to the idea.
Below is a Tweet from Entertainment Weekly that shows Schafer’s reaction.

Euphoria star Hunter Schafer stated that she also played that game “a lot” as a child
The Legend of Zelda was first released on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1986. The series has grown to be one of Nintendo’s most popular, with a variety of games on different platforms and tons of merchandise. Surprisingly, there has not been a live-action film or television adaptation of the series. A Netflix series based upon the games was rumored to have been in development a few years back. However, Nintendo allegedly canceled those plans after leaks began about the project.
While there have been many studios and companies that expressed interest in bringing Nintendo’s franchises to the big screen, the Japanese company was understandably reluctant. This is likely due to embarrassment over the 1993 Super Mario Bros. movie that was a commercial and critical disaster.
Things are starting to change, with a Mario animated feature film set for release from Universal later the current year. If the film is successful, the company may be willing to take on other TV projects and movie productions. We might see Euphoria star Hunter Schafer play Zelda if the series gets adapted. We will have to wait and see what happens.
