‘Invincible’ Replaces Ezra Miller’s Character In Season 2 Of Prime Video’s Animated Series
There seems to be a quiet recasting for mad scientist D.A. Sinclair in Season 2 of Prime Video’s Invincible, with Ezra Miller no longer appearing. This decision to recast amidst controversies surrounding Miller, including legal issues and personal challenges. Miller, known for roles in The Flash and Fantastic Beasts, faced legal trouble, pleading guilty to unlawful trespassing in a burglary case in Vermont last year. Additionally, in 2022, they agreed to undergo mental health treatment following a series of run-ins with the law. These factors may have contributed to the decision to recast the role, ensuring a seamless continuation of the series without distractions or controversies surrounding the casting choice.
Ezra Miller Fired From Prime Video Invincible Series
Miller initially voiced the character in one episode during the first season of the adult animated series. However, in the March 28th episode of Season 2, the character was voiced by Eric Bauza, known for his work in X-Men ’97.
Ezra Miller, known for their roles in Invincible, The Flash and Fantastic Beasts, has faced several controversies. In the past year, they pleaded guilty to unlawful trespassing in a burglary case in Vermont, opting for a plea deal before the hearing. Additionally, in 2022, Miller agreed to undergo mental health treatment following a series of legal issues.
Based on the Skybound/Image comic by Robert Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead, Invincible centers on 18-year-old Mark Grayson, voiced by Steven Yeun. Mark is just like any other guy his age, except for one significant detail: his father is (or was) the most powerful superhero on the planet. Following Nolan’s (J.K. Simmons) betrayal in Season One, Mark grapples with rebuilding his life amidst many new threats. He also confronts his greatest fear – the possibility of unwittingly following in his father’s footsteps.
The series also features a star-studded cast including Sandra Oh, Zazie Beetz, Grey DeLisle, Chris Diamantopoulos, Walton Goggins, Gillian Jacobs, Jason Mantzoukas, Ross Marquand, Khary Payton, Zachary Quinto, Andrew Rannells, Kevin Michael Richardson, and Seth Rogen.
Invincible is a co-production between Skybound Animation and Amazon MGM Studios. Executive producers include Robert Kirkman, David Alpert, Catherine Winder, Simon Racioppa, Margaret M. Dean, Seth Rogen, and Evan Goldberg. Additionally, Helen Leigh and Walker serve as co-executive producers.
