Together, they traverse the Wasteland and stumble upon the Citadel, ruled by the tyrant known as The Immortan Joe. As these two tyrants battle for control, Furiosa must navigate numerous challenges in her quest to find her way back home.

The movie’s new official title is “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.” During the event, Taylor-Joy and Hemsworth, along with director George Miller, provided a sneak peek into the upcoming installment. They also discussed the awe-inspiring, gas-guzzling vehicles created for this thrilling adventure.


Hemsworth, who portrays Dementos, describes his character as a complex individual. He is a violent, deranged, and ruthless person. Dementos originates from the Wasteland, the backdrop of the “Mad Max” saga. Moreover, Dementos is a product of his harsh environment, where survival depends on killing. He has learned to rule with an iron fist, possessing a manipulative charisma that adds to his enigmatic nature.

Miller, the director of the prequel, collaborated with Nico Lathouris on the screenplay. His previous film in the franchise, “Fury Road,” starring Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron, and Nicholas Hoult. This movie captivated audiences worldwide with its immersive world-building, adrenaline-pumping car stunts, and outstanding performances.

The film received an impressive 10 nominations at the Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Director, Cinematography, and Visual Effects. It emerged victorious in categories such as Film Editing, Sound Editing, Sound Mixing, Production Design, Makeup and Hairstyling, and Costume Design.
