At the 1:20 mark in the trailer, viewers saw a character resembling the iconic comic book figure. Many speculate that the eyepatch-wearing rogue Patch, also known as Wolverine, appears in the film. Although not officially confirmed, the character’s back view strongly resembles Wolverine, complete with his signature white suit.

In Marvel comics, Patch is the alias adopted by Wolverine. Logan uses it when he goes deep into the criminal underworld of Madripoor to fight villains like Silver Samurai. In addition to wearing an eye patch, the disguise allows him to move through the seedy streets unnoticed. This gives him access to places he would not otherwise be able to infiltrate.

Marvel may have filmed the brief shot that appears in the Deadpool and Wolverine trailer in Madrid. This is consistent with the MCU’s portrayal of the island nation in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. In addition, fans have speculated on the actor behind the character of Patch and, according to fans, Daniel Radcliffe is the leading candidate.

Despite persistent rumors connecting Daniel Radcliffe to the role of Wolverine, the actor has consistently refuted these claims. In 2022, Radcliffe expressed reluctance to commit to a long-term role.
