In the new Spider-Man Miles Morales game, we’ll be getting to play as, well, Miles Morales. The Spider-Man game from Insomniac is about as good as superhero games get. Part of that magic is the dedication to mimicking fine details about the hero. While Morales is still the titular web-slinger, his fighting style is a bit different. Most notably, the Into the Spider-Verse film depicted a very specific tone and art style to Morales. In the upcoming game, a Miles Morales Spider-Verse suit isn’t just playable. You can control everything the frame-rate and enjoy comic-style enhancements while fighting. Here’s a full look at the suit.

Overall, there are a lot of reasons to look forward to Spider-Man Miles Morales. In a new suit reveal, we might have the most enticing offering yet. Insomniac is going to great lengths to include the Miles Morales Spider-Verse suit and all of its bells and whistles. Firstly, the fluidity of the animation style from the Sony Animation film is on full display. A huge element of the film is its choppy style and somewhat syncopated frame rate. You can actually control the frame rate in-game while using this suit. Essentially, you can end up playing your own version of Into the Spider-Verse.
Then, there’s the “Pow!”, “Slam!”, and “Bam!” accents that call back to the comics. When using the suit in-game, you’ll see these as you take on enemies. The amount of detail in this suit alone is worth major hype. Then, you consider all the exciting things happening in the game itself. We’re essentially getting a sequel to an award-winning game just a few years after its predecessor. This practice isn’t unheard of, but it is uncommon. Usually, it can take years to get another adventure into a game world. To get the full effect of the frame rate changes and details, be sure to check out the official video below.
If you’re looking forward to this game, then let us know why in the comments! Thanks for reading Comic Years for all things gaming, comics, and pop culture.
