New Tenet Trailer Reveals More Christopher Nolan Madness

Christopher Nolan films tend to stay pretty secretive before they release. Now, it’s not like with a major franchise film like Star Wars or Avengers: Endgame where they want you to avoid spoilers at all costs to increase the magic of seeing it unfold before your eyes. Instead, Nolan films tend to keep their plots hidden so well because explaining them is impossible in a few minute trailer or teaser. A new Tenet trailer has released, and it looks like it may be tricking us into thinking we understand what it’s all about. But I personally think it’s just trying to keep us guessing before the true chaos is revealed on the film’s premiere day. Watch the trailer below and see for yourself.

What The New Tenet Trailer Tells Us

I’m one of those weird movie-goers who love spoilers. I’ll look up the ending to films so that I can watch the truth play out, picking up the little details I’d otherwise miss. However, when it comes to a Nolan film, even I go in blind. I find that reading any film synopses of his does nothing more than divert my expectations. He’s a director who makes films that can’t be summarized in a few sentences. So, watch the trailer and read on with a grain of salt.

The previous trailer hinted that some form of time-travel would be used to stop a potential World War 3. This new trailer for Tenet, released on Fortnite of all places, further explains the specific traveling of time being used. They aren’t going into the future but instead warping time by using inversion. John David Washington’s character, potentially with the help of Robert Pattinson’s, will have to learn how to master it to save the world.

Tenet is still set to release on July 17th, 2020. The new trailer doesn’t share this date, making fans more hesitant to expect the summer release. It does, however, say that it’s coming to theatres. So, don’t worry. You’ll get to see this on the big screen no matter what, as all Nolan films deserve.

Does this new Tenet trailer make you even more excited for its premiere? Let us know your expectations for the film! And while you’re at it, check out Robert Pattinson and his new take on Batman.
