Jonathan Majors MCU Star Arrested For Assaulting His Girlfriend

The MCU star Jonathan Majors who played Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, has been arrested. The reason is for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend during a dispute after a night out.

The actor leapt to stardom in Hollywood after participating in Marvel as Kang the Conqueror, the powerful villain who will shape Phase 5 and 6. In addition, he also recently participated in a blockbuster, the film Creed III. However, the actor is facing serious problems because he has been arrested in New York.

Media such as Variety or The Hollywood Reporter have confirmed TMZ’s report. After contacting a spokesperson for the Deputy Commissioner of Public Information of the New York Police Department, we have been able to learn the facts.

Jonathan Majors, the MCU star, is facing charges of strangulation, assault and harassment, according to the spokesperson. He is no longer in police custody at this time. Although many media outlets identified the woman as his girlfriend, his relationship with her was officially described as “domestic.”

Last Saturday, March 25 at approximately 11:15 a.m., police responded to a 911 call inside an apartment in the vicinity of West 22nd Street and 8th Avenue, within the confines of the 10th Precinct.

According to police statements, the occurrence with Jonathan Majors went like this:

“A preliminary investigation determined that a 33-year-old male was involved in a domestic dispute with a 30 year-old female,” police said. “The victim informed police she was assaulted. Officers placed the 33-year-old male into custody without incident. The victim sustained minor injuries to her head and neck and was removed to an area hospital in stable condition.”

In the wake of the news, Jonathan Majors’ rep stated that the MCU actor “He has done nothing wrong,” and he added, “We look forward to clearing his name and clearing this up.”

According to information from TMZ, the alleged victim is Majors’ girlfriend. While the two were going home from a night out, the woman discovered text messages on Majors’ phone. Allegedly, the MCU actor was talking to another woman, which led to a confrontation between the two. After the incident, the woman went to the hospital with injuries and filed a complaint. The incident occurred in Brooklyn, New York.

Arrest Is a Big Problem for Marvel Studios

The event starring Jonathan Majors, may pose a big problem for the MCU. The actor is the next big face of the cinematic universe. Marvel has bet a significant amount of money on this new face, and we are talking about billions of dollars. 

The studio cast Majors as the next big villain in the Kang The Conqueror universe, and he is part of the cinematic plan through 2026. We expect to see the actor in Loki season 2, Avengers The Kang Dynasty 2025 and Avengers: Secret Wars. Should these allegations escalate, it could mean millions of dollars in losses for Marvel Studios and even having to recast the actor. 

Jonathan Majors is not only coming on strong in the MCU with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The star has also co-starred in Creed III, released March 3, alongside Michael B. Jordan. This up-and-coming career could end due to this weekend’s incident.
