Love Endures Eternally.: ‘The Crow’ Trailer Released!

As announced, Lionsgate has finally unveiled the trailer for The Crow, a long-awaited film inspired by the character created by James O’Barr. This rendition features Bill Skarsgård as Eric Draven, a musician resurrected as a supernatural being seeking vengeance for his own murder and that of his fiancée. This film has been in development for a while now.

Laura Birn, Danny Huston, and British singer FKA Twigs join the cast of The Crow, which also features FKA Twigs on the soundtrack. The film, directed by Rupert Sanders and written by Zach Baylin (The Williams Method, Creed III) and William Schneider, is set to be released next June, at least in the United States.

The film has a production budget of approximately $50 million. It also has the backing of producers Victor Hadida, Molly Hassell, John Jencks, Malcolm Gray and Edward R. Pressman. Pressman was involved in the original film directed by Alex Proyas. In addition, he has also supervised the creation of its sequels, such as The Crow: City of Angels (1996), The Crow: Salvation (2000) and The Crow 4: The Cursed Prayer (2006). These subsequent installments starred actors Vincent Perez, Eric Mabius, and Edward Furlong, albeit with varying degrees of success.

The film’s production involves Hassell Free Productions, Electric Shadow Company, Davis Films, Edward R. Pressman Film Corporation, and 30WEST. Lionsgate will handle its distribution in U.S. theaters, the same distributor for Boy Kills World, an action film starring Bill Skarsgård as Boy, set to release a few weeks earlier. In Boy Kills World, Skarsgård portrays a young deaf-mute confronting the matriarch of the Van del Koy family.

The synopsis reveals the soul mates of Eric Draven (Skarsgård) and Shelly Webster (FKA twigs). They meet a tragic end when her dark past catches up with them, causing her brutal murder. Faced with the opportunity to save his beloved by sacrificing himself, Eric embarks on a quest for revenge. He will also ruthlessly confront his assailants. His journey traverses the realms of the living and the dead in his attempt to right the wrongs perpetrated against them.

The cast of the upcoming reboot of The Crow includes such talented actors as Danny Huston, Laura Birn, Sami Bouajila and Jordan Bolger. These talented actors will play characters that Lionsgate has yet to reveal. They will also add an air of mystery and anticipation to the film. Behind the scenes, Zach Baylin and Will Schneider are handling the script. This part promises a captivating narrative.
