The streaming service released the highly anticipated Rebel Moon Part 2: The Scargiver trailer on Monday. It also gives fans an exciting glimpse into the next installment of Zack Snyder’s epic space saga.

Rebel Moon Part Two Trailer Released, The Movie Will Be Released on April 19

Scheduled for release on April 19, Part Two follows the gripping events of its predecessor, promising to deliver answers to the cliffhanger ending that left viewers on the edge of their seats four months ago.

As detailed in a recent cover story by The Hollywood Reporter, writer-director Snyder expressed his aspirations to extend the Rebel Moon saga with a third film. Additionally, fans can anticipate supplementary content. As a graphic novel, a podcast, and a photo book to enrich the universe between film releases.

Kurt Johnstad, co-writer of Rebel Moon, previously shared insights with THR regarding Part Two: “I would say that it’s definitely its own movie, and it’s a very different movie. It’s not an assembly of the team. The team is built, and now it’s why they fight. I think is two hours, or maybe it’s more, but it’s a nonstop action roller-coaster ride of twists and turns. And the ending is spectacular.”

The official description: Rebel Moon Part Two: The Scargiver continues the epic saga of Kora and the surviving warriors as they prepare to sacrifice everything, fighting alongside the brave people of Veldt, to defend a once peaceful village, a newfound homeland for those who have lost their own in the fight against the Motherworld. On the eve of their battle the warriors must face the truths of their own pasts, each revealing why they fight. As the full force of the Realm bears down on the burgeoning rebellion, unbreakable bonds are forged, heroes emerge, and legends are made.”

The ensemble also includes Djimon Hounsou, Ed Skrein, Michiel Huisman, Doona Bae, and Anthony Hopkins.

Additionally, there’s a “hardcore” extended cut of the first two parts of Rebel Moon, though its release date remains undisclosed.

Kurt Johnstad, Co-Writer of Rebel Moon Comments

“There’s definitely a lot more story at the front of the movie,”. “You’re definitely going to get a lot more Jimmy and see his arc. Also you’re going to get a lot more of Kora and the Motherworld. People will get a different introduction to Noble. You’re also going to get a different introduction to some smaller characters like Aris . He is the Motherworld soldier that defends the character of Sam in the granary. So you get an interesting look into why he is now constricted as a slave soldier of the Motherworld and how he got there. So his arc is much more defined. But just in broad brushstrokes, there’s more character. Moreover, certainly knowing Zack, there’s more action and spectacle and the visual vibrance of what he does. There’s definitely a lot more mythology, and a deeper understanding of the Motherworld and their intention, and what the rebellion is coming up against. So there just wasn’t enough time. It would’ve been a four-hour PG-13 movie.”
