On the rumors of Gal Gadot’s departure from DC as Wonder Woman, Gun commented in a publication, “I’m not sure where you’re getting that we ‘booted’ Gal”. Gunn never fired Gadot, which suggests either she is still at DC or she quit and left the studio because of the situation it is facing.

Another who commented on the cancellation of the film was Jenkins herself. She commented on Twitter as follows “I never walked away. I was open to considering anything asked of me. It was my understanding there was nothing I could do to move anything forward at this time. DC is obviously buried in changes they are having to make, so I understand these decisions are difficult right now.”
Gal Gadot also reportedly commented on her situation, implying that she was saying goodbye to the fans or at least to the character. Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman may be in the same situation as Jason Momoa, who will leave the character. However, she could get another one. For example, the actor will stop being Aquaman and be Lobo in this new DC direction.
