Batman Day 2020 Brings Us A Reminder Of Hope In This Wild Year

Regardless of who your favorite superhero is, there’s a pretty good chance that Batman ranks pretty high up on your list. He’s ruthless, powerful, cunning, and has one of the best backstories in the world of heroes and villains. So, this September 19th, we’re happy to celebrate Batman Day 2020! Let’s take a quick look at the history of Batman day and see what DC Comics is doing to celebrate.

Batman Day 2020 Brings Promotions, Celebrations, and More!

Batman Day has been a day of celebration since 2014. DC Comics decided to create the event during the 75th anniversary of the character, who first appeared in Detective Comics back in 1939. The 2014 event was held on July 23rd, which was designed to line up with that year’s San Diego Comic-Con. However, it is now held on the third Saturday in September each year.

Having such a special celebration of a fan-favorite character is proof that Batman will always be important to us, regardless of how many years go by. Not only was Batman one of DC Comic’s first major players in the industry, but the first film adaptation in 1943 made superhero movie history and paved the way for superhero films. Since then, we’ve had countless comic books, movies, shows, and merchandise focusing on the infamous vigilante, Bruce Wayne.
