At 5 p.m. the evening of Halloween, Jack arrives. Jack is the Halloween czar who arrives every year to celebrate the big day. When the announcement of the Animal Crossing Halloween update released, I talked about how this is the kickoff of some fun events. Yes, a few more holidays pop up this year, but this one is special. Essentially, you’re going to go trick-or-treating with your villagers and get fun DIYs and more.

You hopefully spent the month collecting candy from the Nook Shop. This is going to be your way to obtain DIYs from others on your island. By giving away candy, you’ll get a few spooky recipes for the following:

You’ll also get your hands on some lollipops. Yes, they look delicious, but gifting them to Jack gives you two huge DIYs. Firstly, the Pumpkin Carriage is a wonderful way to really make good use of those pumpkins. Likewise, the Spooky Wand is a fun way to cap off the holiday and its in-game festivities. Lastly, you can also learn two reactions during the Animal Crossing Halloween event. The first is “Haunt,” which you learn from Jack. A villager of yours will also teach you “Scare.” It’s wild how much I’ve played this game and I can’t imagine stopping anytime soon.

If you’re excited about the evening’s festivities, then let us know in the comments! Thanks for reading Comic Years for all things gaming, comics, and pop culture.
