It’s been a hard year for film production crews. Along with dozens of other films, one upcoming Marvel movie stopped filming earlier this year when the coronavirus hit. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has finally picked up where it left off and has started filming again for the first time since March.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings Resumes Filming

A news outlet in Western Sydney, Australia, released chopper-caught footage of the film’s sets as they’ve resumed the building process. Another clip watches as a brief helicopter scene is filmed. Security guards are seen blocking their cameras. You can check out the brief footage below for an early glimpse at what is to come with the Marvel film.
We learned of the plan to pick up production on Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings last month. All cast and crew members were responsible for spending 14 days in quarantine upon entering Australia. This requirement is per the country’s guidelines. Unlike Jurassic World: Dominion, no in-depth COVID-19 safety plans have released.

The Next Phase of the MCU
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is set to become one of the first films of the MCU’s Phase 4. It will release on May 7th, 2021 (assuming that COVID-19 doesn’t cause any more delays).
The news of shooting being able to resume is a good sign for Hollywood. It was reported earlier this summer that the number of film shoots in L.A. was down 98% compared to last year. We’re happy to see that the film industry may be able to get back to work, as long as filming is happening in the safest manner possible.
