New Explosive Trailer for ‘Fury Road’ Solidifies Its Position As The Ultimate Action Movie of 2024

Furiosa prequel

Rarely has a film matched the rapid intensity of Fury Road. This will be the fourth installment in the Mad Max franchise. The previous film won six Oscars, challenging traditional Hollywood norms for action and science fiction films. George Miller’s masterful direction kept viewers gripped for the entire two-hour runtime. This same spirit is evident in the philosophy driving the adrenaline-fueled new trailer for Furiosa.

Mad Max: Fury Road served as a franchise reboot, featuring Tom Hardy as the titular character, replacing Mel Gibson without providing explicit continuity explanations. It blurred the lines between being a reboot, sequel, or featuring a different character altogether.

In addition, George Miller is closely tied to the franchise as the director of all five films. He not only revamped the series’ aesthetics and storyline but also introduced the formidable Furiosa as a featured female co-star.

The upcoming prequel to the Mad Max saga features Anya Taylor-Joy (The Queen’s Gambit, The Witch). It also stars Chris Hemsworth (known for his role as Thor in the Marvel Universe). The film will hit theaters on May 24, 2024. That is, approximately eight and a half years after Fury Road. It also promises an unprecedented action spectacle, as its exciting new trailer hints.

Mad Max New Movie Synopsis

“As night falls, young Furiosa will be abducted from the Green Place of Many Mothers and fall into the hands of a great Horde of Bikers led by Warlord Dementus,” said its synopsis. “Sweeping across the Wasteland, Dementus will encounter the Citadel presided over by Joe the Immortal. As the two tyrants battle for dominance. Furiosa must survive her trials and gather the means necessary to find her way home.”

For this production, George Miller has reunited his dream team, the crew behind the six Oscar-winning film. From Nico Lathouris as co-writer to Margaret Sixel as editor, Lesley Vanderwal handling makeup, and Colin Gibsol overseeing production and set design. With such talent onboard, audiences can expect the same stunning cinematography and vibrant color palette that defined the previous installment. Coupled with the uniquely personality-filled post-apocalyptic world and adrenaline-pumping chase sequences, the new trailer of Furiosa promises to deliver an experience well worth the price of admission.
