Marvel Commemorates Birthday Of Chadwick Boseman With Special Logo Tribute

November 29th celebrates what would have been the 44th birthday of Chadwick Boseman. The actor, perhaps best known to Comic Years readers for his role as T’Challa/Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, passed earlier this year due to colon cancer. To commemorate the actor and to honor his history-making work, Marvel has updated the Marvel Studios logo ahead of Black Panther with a special tribute.

This new logo tribute can be seen while streaming Black Panther on Disney+, but you can also take a look below!

New Chadwick Boseman Logo Tribute Celebrates The Late Actor’s Birthday

The Marvel Studios logo scenes attached to every Marvel film have become an iconic piece of MCU films. After setting the stage for the film with a captivating scene (or two) these titles present themselves for audiences to be reminded of the bigger universe in which the film exists. Fans may remember a particularly emotional tribute attached to Captain Marvel, where the legendary Stan Lee was given a special logo tribute after the first anniversary of his death.

The logo change for Black Panther comes on the actor’s first birthday since his passing. Boseman unexpectedly passed on August 28th, 2020, after spending the last four years battling colon cancer. Fans (and fellow Marvel cast and crew) were mostly unaware of his situation. So, his death was a devastating announcement for people everywhere.

Fans of Boseman can, fortunately, see him on the big screen one last time with the upcoming Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. The film, which is the last that Boseman was able to work on, will release on Netflix on December 18th. It is a reminder that, while the actor may no longer be with us, his on-screen presence will live on. His dedication to taking on history-breaking and memorable roles is something we will not take for granted.

Happy Birthday, Chadwick Boseman. Everybody at Comic Years is wishing you an easy rest and may your memory be a blessing to your family, friends, and the rest of us. Wakanda Forever!
