And That’s a Wrap! Filming Has Finished on Thor Love and Thunder

We didn’t really expect anything to top Thor: Ragnarok when it comes to fun and campy superhero movies. However, with the upcoming sequel, Thor Love and Thunder, things are looking hopeful. It has an impressive cast filled with our MCU favorites and it will bring back Taika Waititi, the director who brought the last film to greatness. We get more and more hyped each time a new piece of news comes out, but this one might just be the most promising. Thor Love and Thunder has just finished filming, which means we’re getting closer and closer to that anticipated release date.

Thank Odin! Thor Love and Thunder Is Finished Filming

Film productions have been a source of anxiety lately as the ongoing coronavirus pandemic impacts the world. Movies are being shut down and canceled because of crew COVID-19 outbreaks or other related delays. So, to hear the news that something has finished filming? Well, that’s all the hope that we need.

Thor Love and Thunder began filming back in January despite previous summer 2020 start date plans. Chris Hemsworth (Thor himself) announced the end of filming earlier this week on Instagram, adding that the film will be “batshit crazy off the wall funny.” What a tease! His announcement is paired with a photo of Waititi in his Korg motion capture suit, along with a pretty muscular Thor.

Thor Love and Thunder will bring back some of our favorites, including Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie, Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord, and even Natalie Portman as Jane Foster. We’re especially excited to see an expansion on Valkyrie being bisexual, something that was only hinted at in Thor Ragnarok. In addition to these Marvel icons, we’ll also see Christian Bale in the role of a villain and an appearance from Russell Crowe as well.

Readers, are you as excited as we are to hear that Thor Love and Thunder has finished filming? Join us as we start counting down the days until the May 6th, 2022 release date.
