We’ve all been closely watching Christopher Nolan’s plans as Tenet’s premiere date has rapidly approached. After pushing the date to July 31st, Nolan still has some big plans for his originally scheduled date. Theaters will be re-releasing Inception, an entire decade after its original release. While having the chance to see the stunning film in theaters again is enough to push some moviegoers to brave the cinema amidst the coronavirus pandemic, others may need a bit more of an incentive. So, those who go see the Inception re-release will also get to see the first Dune footage as a special treat.
First Dune Footage To Play Before Inception
Christopher Nolan’s name is enough to pique the interest of many film fans. Inception is often considered one of, if not the, best of his work. While I’d still rank Interstellar a bit higher on my personal list, there’s no denying that it’s quite a spectacular film. Inception stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Ellen Page, Tom Hardy, and even more household names. It made nearly $830 million at the box office and took home a handful of Academy Awards.
It’s clear that Inception is the way to go if you’re looking to re-release a Nolan film. Not only will it encourage people to see movies in theaters, but it will also work as advertising for Tenet. Prior to the showings, theaters will feature the first footage of Dune, Denis Villeneuve’s upcoming adaptation of Frank Herbert’s novel of the same name. Sneak peeks of both Wonder Woman 1984 and Godzilla vs. Kong will also be shown.
Dune is set to release on December 18th, 2020. While we’ve been treated with some exciting photos, a trailer has yet to be released. So, for fans of the book (or star Timothée Chalamet), catching a glimpse of the next big blockbuster will be worth more than just the price of a movie ticket.

A Clever Incentive To See Movies In Theater
Theatrical releases have used movie trailers to draw in audiences before. The technique was even seen at the re-release of A New Hope. Showings debuted the trailer to The Empire Strikes Back to audiences full of excitement. Nowadays trailers immediately release online. This makes it hard to use the showing of a trailer to incentivize audience members to come out. So, hopefully, this exclusive sneak peek will be worth it – not that we have any doubts!
