It almost seems as if the season 2 finale of Disney+’s The Mandalorian just ended. And though time has seemed like it just doesn’t exist over the past year or so, we’re already feeling the absence of the Star Wars series. Fans everywhere have been eagerly awaiting an update on our promised season three, as we remain desperate for new content during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. While we still might need to wait a while before any new episodes come our way, we finally know when season 3 of The Mandalorian will start shooting!
Season 3 of The Mandalorian Starts Shooting This Spring
As updated on the Film & Television Industry Alliance production page, The Mandalorian will begin shooting season 3 on April 5th, 2021. Mark your calendars, everybody!
This official update comes only a week after rumors began swirling about a possible start date for production. Based on this supposed shooting date for the series, we can anticipate a potential episode release in early 2022. This differs from the previous strategy of winter releases for the first two seasons of the show. Though, considering how much reshuffling of release dates has gone on over at Disney, we aren’t surprised that things might look a little bit different now that the pandemic is coming to a (hopeful) end soon.

Now that we have a reasonable prediction for when season 3 may drop, it’s time to start making our predictions! While very little is known over which route the show will take, star Pedro Pascal has already teased that we may be seeing more of his face in the upcoming season. A.k.a., we will see Din Djarin sans-helmet more often.
