The X-Men seem to be slowly entering the Marvel Cinematic Universe. First, Professor X appeared in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Then, the season finale of Ms. Marvel reveals she’s the first official Mutant in the MCU. That would imply that the MCU is shaping the X-Men and the scenarios with mutants. The showrunners also added the character Deadpool also incorporated into the universe, which will have its movie. How all these elements will come together, almost no one knows. In fact, only one person knows the details about the introduction of the X-Men in the MCU.

So far, the only one who knows how the X-Men will be introduced into the MCU is Marvel Studios president, Kevin Feige. This is due to the recent events that have happened in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Firstly what happened in the last episode of Ms. marvel, for everyone involved was a surprise.

If you were surprised by that final episode, so were Ivan Bellani and the rest of the production team involved in this series. Director Bilall Fallah told TVLine about a conversation with Feige. Fallah detailed, “So, when we had it, we asked, ‘What’s it about, what’s going to happen?’ And Kevin Feige would say, ‘Just shoot this, play the music and that’s it. If you’re part of the future of Ms. Marvel, then you’ll know a little bit more’.” He also added, “Kevin Feige has the master plan. He’s the only one who knows.”

Ms. Marvel star Ivan Bellani was also surprised by an email Feige sent her, advising her that she would be the first Mutant to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Bellani stated about mentioned her response to it “I emailed Kevin Feige in all caps. I thought, are you really doing this, are you sure, I’m so honored!. At that time I was like yelling at him through email. I was freaking out. This is the biggest deal in the world, and the fact that it’s happening in our show is crazy.”

What we know so far about the introduction of the X-Men

The introduction of the X-Men is a challenge for Marvel, especially for Feige. Due to the relevance of this world in the Marvel Universe, they can’t afford flaws in them, as it would be a catastrophe. That is why it is likely that the appearances of the X-Men will be systematic and not all at once. An example is the appearance of Charles Xavier as one of the Illuminati in the movie Dr Strange 2. Also, the appearance of Kamala as the first Mutant in the MCU should be part of the systematic incorporation that Feige plans.

Another appearance of one or more mutant characters in the Deadpool 3 movie is possible. This is due to previous statements by Kevin Feige, which detailed his desire to see Wolverine and this not-so-heroic hero in a single production. Wolverine is vitally important, according to statements from Feige himself. He is a major character which has always made a difference in the team. Therefore it is a component of the MCU that can not miss.

An actor who sounds for this role is Taron Egerton, who said he is interested in this role. He stated in an interview that this character is a dream for him and that he has already met with several Marvel executives, including Feige. At the moment, it is not confirmed, but for many fans, he is the most suitable for the role.

For the time being, the MCU is evolving, and the X-Men will be introduced little by little. It’s all part of Feige’s plan to make this franchise successful and boost the MCU again. We will have to wait for what other events appear in the Marvel movies related to the X-Men.
