Disney+ Brings More Mature Content To Audiences With Star Outlet

Have you ever felt left out by streaming services that don’t cater to your country? For those living in the United States, rarely are there concerns with accessing your much-desired content. This is where HBO Max is releasing films at the same time as in theaters and where platforms like Hulu are more than accessible. Though, in countries like Canada, Australia, and places in Europe, we don’t always get the best choices. Fortunately, Disney+ has just launched their Star outlet, which promises more mature content in the form of dozens of shows and movies!

Disney+ Launches Star Outlet For Additional Mature Content

The new Star outlet, offered through Disney+, brings plenty more content to the platform. A lot of it is content that was deemed too mature for the main platform or relating to themes that Disney doesn’t want associating with its ultra family-friendly streaming service. This includes content from Disney Television Studios, FX Productions, 20th Century Studios, as well as Searchlight Pictures.

Content includes films like Die Hard 2, Lost, Family Guy, and plenty more. For families concerned about the lack of child-friendly content, this new outlet has added parental controls. So, you can ensure that you get to watch all of this new great content without worrying about your kids stumbling upon anything.

Rather than adding a second subscription fee, this new addition bumps up the monthly price to $11.99, up from $8.99. This is in effect for all new subscribers and will increase for existing subscribers over the summer of 2021.

Star is now available in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Canada. Other locations, including Eastern Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, and South Korea will have the outlet available later this year.

Readers who live in places where you can access all of the new mature Star content on Disney+, let us know what you plan on streaming first! My pick? Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri!
