Captain America Brave New World

The next Captain America movie already has a new title, Brave New World. This MCU adventure will bring new interpretations and many surprises. We already know that Marvel replaced the main character, who was formerly represented by Chris Evans, by Anthony Mackie. The latter would have participated in his role as Falcon, but due to the ageing of Steve Rogers in The Avengers: Endgame, he had to take the baton.

However, we already saw the relief in Falcon and the Winter Soldier, the Disney+ series. For this reason, the film must bring more fodder if it wants to sweep the box office. One of the new additions to the cast is Harrison Ford, who will play General Thaddeus E. “Thunderbolt” Ross (also known as the Red Hulk). But this is not the only news; let’s see it.

Marvel Studios Modifies Captain America To Brave New World Title

Marvel has just revealed the title of the new Cap movie: Captain America: Brave New World. This production will be the fourth installment of the franchise, although, at the moment, we do not know if Chris Evans will play Steve Rogers. We know that Harrison Ford will be playing General Thaddeus E. “Thunderbolt” Ross. This incorporation is very interesting as it leaves an open question since this character transforms into a tremendous monster. This alter ego is Red Hulk, a character we fans are eager to see on the big screen.

Marvel has just released the first image with the two main characters on set. However, this is not what caught our attention, but the change of title of the movie. If we remember, this production was called New World Order, and Marvel advertised it that way. Yet, the studio has just revealed the new title, Captain America Brave New World. This change may lead us to speculations, as if there were modifications in the script in addition to the name.

For now, this movie’s planned release date is still May 3, 2024. This did not suffer any delay or suspension due to the recent writers’ strike. Luckily the script was already written and approved, and they had already started shooting the movie.

Marvel Releases Photos of Ford and Mackie

Marvel not only posted the title update for the upcoming Captain America: Brave New World. With this news, they also posted a photo on the set of production and filming, with Ford and Mackie sitting and talking. This would join other photos we already saw during the movie’s filming that were leaked, the vast majority of the actor who represents Cap this time.

As we already said, Harrison Ford will have a relevant role in Captain America: Brave New World. The actor will play Thunderbolt Ross replacing the late William Hurt, who portrayed the character on several occasions.

Ford will also have another hidden surprise, as he may appear as the president and the Red Hulk. There are several hypotheses as to how he got these powers; the first is with the help of his daughter Betty Ross of Liv Tyler, who will reappear again in the Marvel world after 15 years.

Another character who will appear in the MCU after 15 years is Tim Blake Nelson with his character Samuel Sterns, now known as The Leader. We can see that the old cast of The Incredible Hulk (2008) is back together, except for Bruce Banner, who will not appear in this production, which is a bit ironic.

Harrison Ford’s Statements

Another interesting point was Harrison Ford’s interview regarding his character in Marvel, what he thinks about it, and the filming process. He commented that it was fun to play this role in Captain America: Brave New World. However, he confessed that it wasn’t that easy. However, it was work, but it was generally quite enjoyable to do it. For answered the question this way:

“Uh, yeah, I mean, there are tough days, easy days, fun days, and all kinds of days. It’s a tough schedule, and, yeah, it’s fun. But it’s not a walk in the park. It’s not fun, fun, fun. It’s work.

The film is directed by Julius Onah, who, along with Malcolm Spellman, wrote the script for this production. It will also include other important actors such as Shira Haas and Danny Ramirez.
