There are few things more exciting than new anime. In the case of The God of High School, it’s clear that a new hit is on the way. Like its current hit, Tower of God, this new anime series comes from the Web Toon world. Between an established fan base and this insanely hyped The God of High School trailer, this is probably going to be one of the biggest releases of the summer anime season.
What is The God of High School About?
Starting Monday, July 6th, anime fans can stream The God of High School. The show is exclusive to Crunchyroll and a huge player in their new exclusives lineup. In short, this action series follows high schoolers competing in a wild tournament. This event pits the strongest high schoolers against one another for a chance to win a wish for anything you could want. On paper, it seems simple: use any martial arts style you want to defeat opponents. The kicker? These students can borrow power directly from the gods to achieve victory. The main character, Jin Mori, thinks he has what it takes. Can he become The God of High School?
The original Web Toon series created by Yongje Park is wildly popular. Anime producers MAPPA are also working on the series. The team works on other hit titles like Dororo and Yuri on Ice. Plus, they just so happen to be working on the final season of Attack on Titan (which just released the trailer for season 4). The God of High School trailer previews the latest show coming from Crunchyroll Originals. All in all, the streaming service is producing eight new series of their own.
