A new chapter of everyone’s favorite Baby Yoda show is coming soon to Disney+. And the official Star Wars channel just put out a “special look” at season 2 of The Mandalorian. The 1-minute teaser doesn’t give a ton of new footage to pore over, but it does give us some clues as to what will happen with Din Djarin and The Child. Let’s explore this special look for season 2 of The Mandalorian.
A Special Look At Season 2 of The Mandalorian
This special look at Season 2 of The Mandalorian shows Din Djarin teaming up with Greef Karga and Cara Dune once more. He enlists their help to protect The Child, and sets out on a mission to find the rest of his fellow Mandalorians. As we learned at the end of Season 1, the Mandalorians have a history with the Jedi that could contain clues as to the origins of The Child. Djarin seeks to reunite The Child with his people, but whether that means the race that Yoda and this character come from – or the Jedi as a whole – is unclear.
The teaser also shows off some fancy flying and familiar ships as TIE fighters chase Din Djarin and his crew. There is also a new jetpack for our titular Mandalorian, that allows him to fly across a vast canyon at the end of the clip. It looks like Season 2 of The Mandalorian will bring more aliens, planets, and lore to the Baby Yoda show.
More Mandalorians Could Come From Other Star Wars Media

More Mandalorians in Season 2 means there is potential for a famous Star Wars character to finally appear. Will we see Boba Fett in Season 2 of The Mandalorian? Rumors report that actor Timothy Olyphant may appear as the iconic bounty hunter in the new season of The Mandalorian. Will Fett assist Din Djarin with his quest, or will he try to claim The Child for the Empire? Fett has a long history of working for the Empire throughout Star Wars. But will his loyalty to his people outweigh his loyalty to the Empire?

Another Mandalorian that could potentially appear in Djarin’s quest is the character of Sabine Wren. She was a protagonist in Star Wars: Rebels who once claimed the Darksaber. Of course we have already seen the Darksaber make an appearance at the very end of Season 1, wielded by Moff Gideon. Actor Giancarlo Esposito – who plays Gideon – says that the Darksaber is a big part of Season 2 of The Mandalorian. So there are already elements of Star Wars: Rebels at play in The Mandalorian. And we know that Star Wars loves to cross over their shows and movies in attempt to unify the lore. Wren could be the missing piece that fully connects Mandalore and the Darksaber to the series.

Other new characters appearing in Season 2 include Katee Sackhoff as Bo Katan, a character recurring from The Clone Wars. There is also a rumor that Ahsoka Tano of The Clone Wars will also appear in Season 2 of The Mandalorian, played by Rosario Dawson.
