Some of the most exciting news to come from Marvel has surrounded the upcoming slate of heroic series for Disney+. One of the most exciting, Secret Invasion, has been coming out of the gate strong with fantastic casting news and teases at its potential. The latest news to come out of the franchise is the news that the directors for Secret Invasion have been found, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! Though, we will admit that it has us feeling a little bit impatient for the wait ahead of us!

The Directors For Secret Invasion Has Us Pretty Hyped

As announced at the Marvel Studios Disney Investor’s Day in 2020, Secret Invasion will tell the tale of Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Talos (Ben Mendelsohn) following their crossed paths in 2019’s Captain Marvel. It will take us on a ride through the wild world of Skrulls, who are beings who can shape-shift into whatever they desire.

The directors for the series will include Thomas Bezucha (Let Him Go, Monte Carlo) and Ali Selim (The Looming Tower, Criminal Minds.) This news follows casting announcements that Emilia Clarke, Kingsley Ben-Adir, and Olivia Colman have joined Secret Invasion, as Jackson and Mendelsohn have been attached from the beginning.

Kyle Bradstreet of Mr. Robot will be writing the series, along with serving as the executive producer. It will reportedly shoot in Europe later this year. So, we may be able to expect episodes by the end of 2022!
