Never Have I ever Season 3: First look & release date

Never have I ever season 3 is coming soon! Netflix shared first look photos of upcoming episodes and an official launch date.

Created by Mindy Kaling, the series follows the struggles of breakout star Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan), an Indian-American teen navigating through different phases of adolescent life including family, friendships, and relationships.

Netflix shared the images on their social media this week, and both fans and stars of the show are beyond excited about the announcement. Jaren Lewison who plays Ben on the show commented “SURPRISE”. Another person commented, “the moment we’ve all been waiting for”.

Newly released photos show Devi and Paxton (Darren Charles Barnet) getting along fine, following the ups and downs of their relationship in season two.

The Netflix show set to air on August 12th, 2022 also stars Lee Rodriguez, Ramona Young, Poorna Jagannathan, Richa Moorjani, Megan Suri, John McEnroe and  9-1-1 actor Anirudh Pisharody.

In the last episode of season two, Devi gets hit by Paxton’s car on the night of the school dance. Following an argument that the pair had about having their relationship go public, per Devi’s request. The incident makes Paxton realize he wants to go public with their relationship and he does so at the dance.

Earlier in the season, Devi had attempted to foster relationships with both Ben (Lewison) and Paxton(Barnet) at the same time which ended badly for her. Ben moves on with her friend Aneesa (Megan Suri) and Devi and Paxton begin a private relationship. Ben refuses to speak to her for the most part of season two.

A sudden realization Ben makes at the end of the season after speaking with Eleanor leaves him sad and disappointed. She tells him that Devi wanted to choose him and it “hasn’t always been” Paxton. Fans are expectant to see what the new season has in store.

Never Have I Ever Season 4 Production

The fourth and final season of the coming-of-age series is currently in production, with plans to air sometime in 2023. When asked why the show will be coming to an end next year, Kaling tells ET online “Four seasons for a high school show felt like it made sense,” She went on to add “They can’t be in high school forever. We’ve seen those shows. Like, you’ve been in high school for 12 years. What is going on here? Also, the actors get older and it starts looking insane that a 34-year-old is playing a 15-year-old.”

Mindy also shared “ So there are some things are built-in doing a high school show that felt like, OK this is time,”.

The Indian actress added “But the truth is, we got to know the characters. The great thing about doing it on Netflix is that we got to tell stories that you wouldn’t necessarily be able to tell in traditional network shows and so we feel good. We really told the story of this 15-year-old girl and that felt like the perfect amount of time.”
