The Legend of Vox Machina season 2 just got a new trailer released. The series by Critical Role and Amazon has been a huge success. It’s caught Critical Role fans and general viewers alike. And, its second season trailer only increases the hype.

It’s no wonder it has captivated everyone. We’ve already covered how the dysfunctional team works. Each character is unique and has different strengths and weaknesses. They make for a compelling and likeable cast.

Of course, the amount of stars added to the show is a big plus. However, the original cast from Critical Role is more than enough to bring fans in. Matt Mercer was famous for voicing countless characters. Yet, he’s allowed others to bring their talent.

Nevertheless, that isn’t everything. Season 2 is already a reality. But, the show’s Vox Machine third season also got announced. Thus, there’s a lot for fans to expect from the series.

First footage released for The Legend of Vox Machina season 2

The trailer picks up right after the cliffhanger from the last season. We can see the characters running around in panic. After all, there’s a huge dragon flying around the realm. Luckily, it seems like we’ll get immediate closure to what already happened.

The trailer just released. But, fans have been waiting for it since 2019, when it was first announced. As Polygon reported, the premiere was revealed during the New York Comic Con.

The release window for the new season was also among the announcements. We can expect it to come out in January 2033.

Naturally, the priority right now is dealing with the Chroma Conclave. The faction of chromatic dragons isn’t a pushover. In fact, their arc in the original RPG campaign was the longest. So, it’s safe to expect the conclave arc to take all the second season.

New details revealed at New York Comic Con 2022

Prime Video’s reel revealed a bunch of news for its largest series. Vox Machina wasn’t the only show. The Boys, The Wheel of Time, and Invincible were also in the reel.

However, The Legend of Vox Machina season 2 definitely took the spotlight for a while. Scanlan, the bard, caught everyone up with last season’s events. The recap reel was an original song. And, it ended with the release date announcement.

From there, the cast started answering questions without spoiling much.

For instance, we learned that Scanlan would want to stop “hooking up” at some point. Taliesin Jaffe also revealed that we could expect “cool things” with Grogg and his new sword.

We can also expect the siblings, Vex and Vax, to drift apart a bit. So, perhaps their differences will start showing more. That would also tie with the general tone of the second season. Mercer affirmed that the plot would get darker.

Season 3 also confirmed for the show

There were more news in the same tweet announcing the second season. The show’s third season is already in the works.

Remember when I said that the conclave would be the second season? Well, the arc was too long for just one season. So, the third season of Legend of Vox Machina will continue the dragon show.

Naturally, the crowd cheered at the announcement. And, the second season will have twelve episodes. Still, that’s not enough to cover the entire story. Plus, this season is only the beginning for the series. The cast considers season 1 as just a warm-up.

So, this season will mark a huge milestone for the series. It’ll start the tale of the campaign’s largest arc by far. Plus, it’ll take things to a whole new level. I can’t wait to see where things go.
