Jensen Ackles As Soldier Boy Revealed For ‘The Boys’ Season 3
When we first learned that Jensen Ackles was joining The Boys Season 3, we were pretty excited. After all, the introduction of Aya Cash as Stormfront in Season 2 brought a whole host of new drama and violence for Billy Butcher and his gang (still unclear whether she’ll be in Season 3). If Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy is going to be anything like Stormfront, we can expect one hell of a season, and fans are already in a tizzy.
Writer and showrunner for The Boys, Eric Kripke, caused a buzz when he tweeted a photo of Ackles as Soldier Boy, full beard and all. We’re not sure whether the beard is staying, but we do know that filming for The Boys Season 3 has already started thanks to Kripke’s tweets.

Tell Me More About The Boys‘s Soldier Boy
While Soldier Boy is a “legacy title” (meaning that the name had previously been used for an existing hero), Ackles’s Soldier Boy is likely to be the most recent iteration: the veteran of World War II who will do anything to be part of The Seven. He’s characterized as being easily frightened and weak-willed, although it stands to be seen whether this is accurate.
In a now infamous tweet, Kripke shared that one of the raunchiest moments in the series is happening:

In the comics, Herogasm begins with Homelander telling the public that the Supes are heading to space to fight invading aliens when in reality, they’re flying to a remote island to have a wild orgy. Fans of the comics will know that Soldier Boy ends up sleeping with Homelander as a way to get into The Seven, so having Ackles’s portray a naïve Supe who sucks up to Homelander in any shape and form makes sense, although he also could have done it due to darker, ulterior motives. We’ll just have to wait and see!
