The soul of The Valley is on the line according to the Cobra Kai Season 4 trailer! Set in the San Fernando Valley (hence “The Valley”) in California, the season finale of Season 3 of Cobra Kai set viewers up for an epic showdown between two rival karate dojos, and now we can look forward to the All Valley Karate Tournament in Season 4!

Catch Me Up On What’s Happened In Season 3

In the beginning of Season 3 of Cobra Kai, Miguel (Xolo Maridueña, who has been cast as Blue Beetle) is in a coma after a fight had broken out in the local high school between Johnny Lawrence’s (played by William Zabka) karate students and Daniel LaRusso’s (played by Ralph Macchio) karate students. The rivalry between the kids has been bubbling since Season 1, but Johnny and Daniel have been enemies since the original Karate Kid.

Miguel eventually wakes up, but he’s paralyzed, while the rest of the kids struggle with PTSD from that fateful day in their high school. The rest of the season involves Johnny and Daniel both feeling extremely guilty and swearing off teaching karate. Meanwhile, Johnny’s old sensei, John Kreese, (played by Martin Kove) is quietly manipulating kids to join Cobra Kai but under his leadership. Johnny’s son Robby (played by Tanner Buchanan) is in jail for kicking Miguel off a balcony and paralyzing him. Ultimately the end of Season 4 shows us two new dojos who will have to “fight for the soul of the valley”: Kreese’s Cobra Kai and Daniel and Johnny’s combined dojo.

What Did We Learn From The Cobra Kai Season 4 Trailer?

The teaser trailer didn’t tell us much except to show many of characters in their uniforms kicking and punching. We already know that the All Valley Karate Tournament is coming back after being banned and then brought back in Season 3. Kreese’s students (which now includes Johnny’s son, Robby!) will face off with the combined Miyagi-do/Cobra Kai that Daniel and Johnny lead. The series has apparently been planned out for six seasons, so fans can guess that much more happens at the tournament that’ll lead to more drama and of course, karate.
