The Star Wars universe continues to grow with the addition of the new spin-off Andor, which released a new Andor movie trailer. Andor will join the Star Wars franchise with Obi-Wan Kenobi and The Mandalorian, which we recently saw on Disney+. Andor suffered delays due to the complications caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, but it will soon be online and available to the public.

This show is in its marketing stage, and today they released the trailer and a poster. The image details some of the main characters of this spin-off, while the video shows several scenes in the 2 minutes and 24 seconds it lasts.

Andor Movie Trailer and Poster

In the poster, we can see the main character in the top center of the image, partially covering the planet’s moon. Around this, we can detail the group that would support the protagonist, in which Genevieve O’Reilly’s Mon Mothma stands out. She already has two appearances, one in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and the last one in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. In both, she is part of the founders of the resistance against the Empire.

Another well-known character that appears is Forest Whitaker’s Saw Gerrera, a warrior from Clone Wars who we saw in Rogue One and other animated productions.

At the bottom of the poster, the phrase “The Rebellion Begins” serves as a tagline. The premiere date for September 21, and the Disney+ logo are next to it.

The Andor movie trailer shows the Empire’s beginning after the Jedi order’s fall. The clones begin to subjugate every planet in the galaxy, subjugating, arresting and eliminating those who oppose them. We can see how the destroyers arrive on various worlds, as armies of clones emerge from the planets and subdue the population.

It also details how the rebellion begins and how they start to organize to confront the Empire and the Sith. There are several fight scenes, both in space and on various planets. Also, the protagonist, who initially seems unwilling to fight, soon joins the rebel ranks.

This Andor movie trailer has created high expectations among fans, who left their thoughts in the comment section of this trailer. Some comments were,

“I think this is a more carefully planned and designed background for the show than any other so far. And it’s all cinematic, which creates high expectations and I can’t lie, I’m excited for this.”

Another comment noted,

“This has to be one of the most visually stunning shows I’ve ever seen. Just look at the shots in this trailer.”
