It’s not exactly brand new information that Sarah J. Mass’ novel franchise is getting a TV adaptation. That being said, here is everything you need to know about the upcoming ACOTAR TV series, as well as the potential cast we really wish to see.

About Hulu’s ACOTAR TV Series

Sarah J. Mass is one of the most popular and well-respected writers of Young-Adult novels. From A Court of Thorns and Roses (from now on ACOTAR), to Throne of Glass, all of her YA novel franchises bring forward something new.

With the rise of the BookTok (reading community on Tiktok), Sarah J. Mass’ novels gained millions of views and reviews. Moreover, the popularity it gained also means many important productions noticed the franchise. It was only a matter of time when someone would pick up this project.

And Hulu did exactly this! Sarah J. Mass and Hulu both confirmed that the ACOTAR TV series is officially on its way. While we don’t have many details, or even the release date, here’s what we know so far.

To start with, we do know the plot of the upcoming ACOTAR TV series. Since it’s bound to follow the plot of the novel franchise, here is the brief plotline.

The ACOTAR TV series will take us to a fantasy world. This faerie realm, in my head, looks like something between LOTR and Avatar scenery. The main characters of the first novel are Rhysand, Feyre, Nesta, Cassian, and Tamlin.

Feyre is a human girl, taken to Prythian, where she has to endure hunger and poverty. Although she’s leading a seemingly normal life, she will soon learn about her faerie heritage. Her captor Tamlin is hated and loved by many, so we’re curious to see who might portray him.

A Court of Thorns and Roses: Potential Cast

When it comes to the potential cast of the upcoming ACOTAR TV series, here are our guesses. As someone who finished the Court franchise in a week, I have some strong opinions about the cast.

For example, the only woman that may fit the role of Nesta is Marion Pascale. Yes, I do know that she is a model, not an actress. Still, a girl can hope.

In addition, actresses that are good for the role of Feyre are Barbara Palvin and Bridget Satterlee. Both of these young ladies have very few roles altogether. This is why they deserve more attention!

Moreover, we’d love to see Lucas Bravo or Richard Deiss in the role of the fan-favorite Rhysand. On the opposite of Rhys, some of the casting choices for Tamlin include Sam Reid, Alexander Ludwig, and Jamie Campbell Bower.

Do you agree with our casting for the upcoming ACOTAR TV series? Let us know in the comments!
