RSVP to a Free Star Wars: The High Republic Author Panel
I’m really impressed with what I’ve read so far from the Star Wars: The High Republic era. I’ve made an effort to read everything actually, including the comics and children’s books. Why? Well, who the hell doesn’t want more Star Wars content? But in all seriousness, I’m interested in this overall narrative and how some of the great authors on board for the project will bring their talents to the new age. A great chance to get an insider’s look at the writers participating in some of the novels is coming up. Best of all, you can attend from home for free. Here’s some info on how to RSVP to a free Star Wars: The High Republic author panel from Disney and Barnes and Noble.

If you’re a fan of any of the new High Republic novels, then you’re going to want to RSVP to this virtual event. Barnes and Noble puts on virtual events every now and then. With the pandemic, these events kicked into high gear. The latest of note to Star Wars fans is an author panel with writers from Star Wars: The High Republic books. Cavan Scott (The Rising Storm), Daniel Jose Older (Race to Crashpoint Tower & Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures), Justina Ireland (Out of the Shadows & A Test of Courage), Charles Soule (Light of the Jedi), and Claudia Gray (Into the Dark) will share the virtual stage.
The author lineup here is impressive. All writers involved have distinct approaches to Star Wars. In particular, Claudia Gray and Justina Ireland have done great work with writing for younger fans. I’d also add that the opening section of Charles Soule’s Light of the Jedi is masterful. With new High Republic novels coming this summer, now is the time to catch up! If you’re interested in checking out the panel, then RSVP for free here.
As we gear up for another run of High Republic stories, we want to hear from you. If you’re reading these new releases, then let us know what you think! Thanks for reading Comic Years for all things Star Wars, comics, and pop culture!
