As the date of the biggest gala of the film industry approaches, new details of this great event emerge. The Academy has already revealed the nominees and preferred candidates to win in most categories. Now the organization has revealed who will present each of the awards, with Pedro Pascal among them.

One of the members of this group, who will have the honor of presenting the winners, will be the star of The Mandalorian series. They also revealed that Elizabeth Olsen, who plays Wanda in The Avengers, will also participate in the gala.

A well-deserved Honor for Pedro Pascal and Elizabeth Olsen

For many this is an honor that both actors deserve, considering the trajectory they have so far. First we have Pedro Pascal starring in The Mandalorian and The Last Us. Both are successful productions in the different streaming platforms where they are transmitted, which speaks very well of their work.

His work allowed Pedro Pascal to represent his characters for at least one more season. Even the directors of both companies congratulate his work, especially Disney, which several times highlighted his work representing Mando, Grogu’s protector.

Elizabeth Olsen for her part had a great performance in The Avengers. Although her star production was in Doctor Strange 2. She appeared as a final enemy who confronted the master of the mystic arts. One aspect that stands out in her performance is the plots of grief the character demonstrates, especially over Vision’s death.

At the moment it is unknown which category both actors will be presenting in. However it is already confirmed that they will be at the gala. They will likely be in the science fiction area, considering that it is their acting branch. It sounds the possibility of Olsen presenting the best actress and Pedro Pascal the best actor, in series or movies of this genre.

What Else Awaits Us At The Oscars 2023

Awards shows eligibility

Many are wondering what will happen at the Oscars, considering the events of the last edition. When Will Smith punched Chris Rock in the face, after he made a joke to his wife Jada Pinkett Smith. This fact left the actor 10 years out of academy events, although it is not ruled out that other events will happen in this award ceremony.

As for the possible winners, several studies highlight that Everything Everywhere all at Once, could win several statuettes this year. The reasons given by critics and experts in the area are the behaviors that had other awards in the cinema industry. This film made a resounding impact, not only because it is good, but also because it is the Cinderella of the competition.

However, it faces several top contenders, starting with Top Gun: Maverick, which was a sensation in the cinema and restored faith in the industry. There is also Avatar: The Way of the Water, which had the biggest gross of the year. We also have Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans competing for several statuettes.

Another film that could have its statuette is Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio. The remake of the Disney film is on the list of possible winners for Best Animated Feature.

As for the group of presenters who will officially be at the big event we have Pedro Pascal and Elizabeth Olsen. Apart from them, we will have Cara Delevingne, Halle Berry, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Paul Dano, Elizabeth Olsen, Mindy Kaling, Harrison Ford, and John Travolta. Let’s hope none of them put on a show like last year’s and the movies and not the scandal take up the stage.
